I keep seeing a lot of this kind of thing, sometimes in books and often in magazines:
Mathematician John Couch Adams, who was born in Laneast near Launceston is best known for predicting the existence of the planet Neptune.
I already know the answer to my own question, but could someone else tell me how the above should be changed? I don't want to give away any clues ...
Mathematician John Couch Adams, who was born in Laneast near Launceston, is best known for predicting the existence of the planet Neptune.
Just the missing comma.
I agree with the above.
Embarrassingly, I think I've made the same mistake a few times but it really should be caught with a good proofread.
Neptune is not a planet. that's where it went wrong.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.
