I do see your point, but from chatting to some of the writers here, I get the impression that a lot of them work on their stories to enhance their considerable writing skills. As Lush is an erotic site, yes of course the stories are sensually exciting, but so much more than a mere aid to masturbation. Just a personal opinion, and I'm not speaking for anyone else!

I have to agree with Ispy on this...I know a close friend of mine who has written a few stories always asks me if it turned me on enough to make me want to touch myself...I truly enjoy the work of the writers on Lush, it's what brought me here...I give them a huge amount of respect and credit for having the talent they do. I read a lot of stories and for the most part do not masturbate, BUT when you get that one that just gives you the tingles in all the right spots, I can't see where that is not a huge compliment to their skills as writers. It is easy to get turned on by visual stimulation, but to be brought to that level through the words of a writer, in my opinion is a much greater challenge.

Its a huge boost though for a writer to know that what they have written has that effect on the reader...I have my trusted friend do the masturbation test for me before I publish a story whilst he double checks it and edits for me..I don't know what I'd do without him or Dave.

I understand what you mean smile I'm not trying to say that masturbating to the stories should be compulsory, but I'm sure for many of the authors getting people to masturbate is their main objective.
