After reading many of the topics in the "ask the Gals" forum, and being a newbie to Lush, I find it quite odd that men find that it is alright for them to comment on questions being asked of us. As I wrong to think this is strange and as a female, are you alright with men coming in here and giving us their opinion on questions meant for us?
Just curious, as I continue to learn about the interesting world of Lush......
Lots of times I see a thread pop up in the changing banner up top, or in the Friends Activity feed, and I answer without noticing it is in the Ask the Gals section. I used to apologize every time I did it and noticed, until I realize it's pretty commonplace, and people don't seem to mind.
I apologize for posting in yet another Ask the Gals, but I figured I'd give you my reasons for doing it.
I imagine the "guys" who post are female in RL and keep accidentally blowing their cover. (Except Verbal, he's just strange.)
I generally limit my postings on these types of threads to when I may have something relevant to contribute. I know that come folks are bothered by it, but most are okay with it to a point.
it doesn't bother me. the majority of these questions are so general, or asinine, that it doesn't matter who answers them. however, on very gender specific queries i'd rather just hear the opinions of said gender. it's no trouble to skip those that don't apply.
I understnd how you feel on this subject when I first joined I thought the same.
But, now I see no harm in it and we may find it beneficial is we understand better how they think or not.
It's such a minor faux pas, I don't mind if the guys invade our threads. But I usually try not to post in the guys' threads unless the temptation is just too great.
