When I was 11, on St Valentine's Day, I brought my 'girlfriend' a red rose and a teddy bear to school. She was so embarrassed but all her friends thought it was the cutest thing. She still has that bear to this day; she named it after me. That was pretty romantic for a kid, I thought.
I haven't really had any serious relationships in my life, so I haven't had much opportunity to be truly romantic. I like to think I would be, though. I'm chivalrous, if nothing else, and am always happy to offer a lady my seat, my arm and/or my jacket. I also like to let a girl know how witty and charming and beautiful and sexy she is, because sometimes they just need to be told.
When I am in a relationship, I'll take a leaf out of my dad's book. He has his faults, but he's definitely very romantic. Both my mother and step-mother agree that he is the most thoughtful man they have met. He has a knack for giving the perfect gifts and he doesn't just wait around for birthdays or anniversaries to give them. And every year, on February 14th, he writes a short poem in a card for his wife. He's not what you would call a wordsmith, but those verses are always beautiful. My dad is my idol when it comes to romance.
I'm about as romantic as a dildo.
Romance is putting her before you. Doing little things, to let her know that you think she is special to you.

i experience romance once. mmmm...its all creamy and dreamy. it made me all soft and mushy too...who knew?
If you can pick up on your girl´s wants, needs, aspirations, dreams, loves without her telling you and deliver them in thoughtful manner you are being romantic. Most of them don´t require money and many of them will tell her how much you truly care / listen.
After work she came home to a sign on the door that said "Massage and Bath House" and a hot bubble bath. I washed her then rubbed her.
When I proposed we had made a bet on who would buy the other the best present for our dating anniversary and I got down on one knee in the exact spot we met. Needless to say I won the bet.
I have bought her lots of roses. Since we've had a child one of my favorite things to do is to let him pick out roses for her and take him to her work to give them to her.
