No, he just put unusually pronounced emphasis on seemingly random words in his sentences. Actually, I just Googled Chandler Bing Syndrome, and found 3 different interpretations of something I thought I had just made up! None of them mentioned the emphasis on words, so now there are four different Chandler Bing Syndromes! lol

It doesn't bother me in the slightest if someone doesn't post pictures of themselves and instead uses someone else's image as their avatar. Everyone has a right to privacy and if, for whatever reason, they don't want to show their face or body, it's their prerogative. However, for those that don't set their avatar to themselves, I like their choice to at least say a little about their personality or style. If I can't get to know your face, I'll gladly settle on getting to know your mind.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

This thread has me laughing so much....but um

I seriously don't mind until I know it is a fake but they keep saying
that's really them. Bunch of bullshit right there. That is why I am picky when I add people as friends. You can have fake pic but at least be fucking truthful about it. At least I am, the ava's I use aren't me and maybe never will be but I do have a personal gallery for close friends that shows who I am. Plus I care more for the personality then looks. Shurgs, I don't know it is my opinion.

Personally for me , i think girls who uses their own pictures are much more of a turn on but it might be awkward if their close friends or people they meet on a daily basis so happened to saw those pictures.
Hmm but i do enjoy imagining a real person i am talking to instead of some random picture taken off the internet.

I would agree with that. An option would be having a private friends only gallery, or cropped body pics.
It has a risk, but I've made some good friends. Each of who have left little to the imagination.

After reading through this thread, I'm intrigued to know, how do you people know when a person is using fake profile pics?

There is absolutely no way of knowing if a person's pictures are genuine or not. Anybody can visit a amateur porn website and download a set of nude amateur snaps and then upload them to their Lush profile. So how do know which photos are genuine?

There are quite a few ways to know when someone is using fake pictures, although in some cases you can't be 100% sure:

1- You can perform a reverse image search with Google: if the search returns numerous results, it's extremely likely that the picture was extracted from a random source

2- Some people are stupid enough to use pictures of recognizable pornstars

3- Many other porn pictures aren't easily recognizable, but the way they look so professional/polished just screams 'mainstream porn'

4- Some people are stupid enough to use pictures of different people who don't look alike at all (eg. bellybuttons that look entirely different from a picture to another)

5- Some [s]women[/s] guys are stupid enough to mention that their breasts is a 38C, when even a guy like me knows that they're much closer to a 32F

6- Many profiles just scream 'insincere' and 'fake' in general (eg. "Hi I'm Lucy and I'm currently studying at Iowa State University! I'm still a virgin and here are a few dozens pictures of me, revealing my face and plenty of other compromising details! Please come stalk me!")

7- In some cases you can't be certain of anything, but your gut instincts can still tell you more or less clearly that it's likely to be a fake profile

There are certainly a few others that I'm forgetting, but you get the overall idea. I hope this helped.

It was helpful and you certainly know your stuff. And, I agree, there are several ways to spot a faker. But I don't want to know how to spot a fake profile, I want to know how one would determine a genuine profile with genuine pictures of the actual person behind that particular profile.

Unless you've skyped with that person or met them physically in the flesh, you have no way of knowing who is actually hiding behind that profile. Even then, you have no way of knowing who is logged on to profile at any given time; there could be several different people logging into the same profile on a daily basis.

Onto my next point: Even though the images are locked on Lush, there're several ways of extracting those images from people's profiles and then running them through Google's reverse image search; I will agree with you on that. But could one not download a nude, selfie amateur set of pictures, then tweak those pictures ever so slightly using Photoshop, in order to trick the reverse image search? I don't know the answer to this, I've never tried it, but you get my point.

Aside from the fact that we're on a porn site and posting an actual photo of yourself could be a rather reckless thing to do for a multitude of reasons, there's nothing wrong with posting a picture of whoever as an avatar instead of one's actual face. But obviously one should be honest about it from the very beginning.

This is me (taken last night) I have a few pics in my gallery that's not me but that's just for viewing pleasure not because I'm trying to be fake, I have a mixture of me and not me lol just showing the kinds of things I like , if you ask I'll always tell you I don't like to mislead people, But in the Same breath being on sites like this you can be who and what you want to be , it's personal choice, that's the point of these sites??? That's a really good point that you've raised there.

You're saying that some people don't care who's really behind the profile. It's all about fantasy and using your imagination. The person behind the profile can be whomever you imagine it to be.
