One of the effects costumes and role-playing can have is that certain inhibitions can fall away when you are "in character". Pretending "it's not really me doing this" frees some women and men from their own self-image and its restrictions. We all have a public persona, don't we? But, like at Halloween, we can throw off that limit and express what we think the "costumed character" would do (even though it's really just ourselves). Dress to express...
men are very visual and it is part of roleplay
When you make blanket remarks about "men never growing up," in your comments, it's rather difficult to take your question seriously. Maturity based on gender is as inconsistent as maturity based on age. We've all met younger people who were mature beyond their years and elderly people who were anything but mature, and just as obviously, being female doesn't automatically make you more mature than men. Take yourself for example. The fact that you encapsulate men in negative and stereotypical preconceptions actually raises rather large questions about how mature you yourself really are. No matter how much you dress it up, you're calling other people (specifically men) names, and how mature is that? Isn't it rather a habit associated with kindergarteners?
Furthermore, I'd point out that quite a few women enjoy dressing up for role play out of their own desire to do so , both in and out of sexual contexts. Go on tumblr. and you'll find an infinite number of blogs of women who like to dress up as various comic book/anime characters. Go to a Renaissance festival and there are dozens of women who like to dress up as fairies and other related characters, or look at all the women who dress up in the Steam-punk trend. Is dressing up the way they do indicative of a collectively intrinsic immaturity in women?
I'd also add that the context in which the word maturity is used today is often incorrect, because originally it merely meant the ability to reproduce, i.e., having gone through puberty. While women generally go through puberty sooner than men, maturity as a word originally had nothing to do with emotional or intellectual sophistication, however much it is often used as such.
Wouldn't you rather have a nice cup of tea?
I don't really care about costumes or role playing. For me, it's the attitude a woman has, rather than what she's wearing that I find most arousing.
Don't believe everything that you read.
Costumes don't do it for me although I'm good with some fun and laughter in the bedroom. Give me a woman in sensual lingerie every time....
You have to love a girl in uniform or one that shares your fantasy whatever it may be.
It's a fantasy role play. Plus, the outfit is like the wrapping paper on a present. Elaborate bows and shiny paper can make any gift have that much more of an impact when it gets presented and unwrapped.
I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
the ultimate for me would be Batgirl dressed in her 60s costume from the show.
im not sure, its never been a big deal with me, i prefer sexy lingerie.
The VERY thing this site is ABOUT... SEXUAL FANTASY! We all have our individual preferences in that regard, but some are RELATIVELY universal (the maid, the nurse, super hero...)
If a woman accepts my request to dress up in a sexy costume, we find that the sex is really great.
