Aslong as you keep it simpe and clean as the rest of the page, I'm happy.
(please do not add sound things... they are too annoying and will be abused)
I think to wait and see what is beeing requested by the users of the chat and don't give them even half of what they want, will do fine.. smile

The right approach Catnip!

It is all built in, smileys, sounds, the lot. I have played with it, you can turn off anything you don't want.

You can right click on a user and ask them for a private channel, or block them etc.

There's even a video component, although I'm not sure it's hooked up. Not sure how that would work anyway in a chat room scenario, lots of webcam thumbs somewhere? dontknow

It's nearly ready, should be up next week.

Nic, I think this could possibly take away some of the unwanted private chats.
Meaning I'll have lots of spare time to talk to people who are cute enough for me.

Good point Cat!

I don't know what Gav has planned for the original 1 on 1 chat program. This program makes it a little redundant as you can talk 1 on 1 in it too.

What I'm saying is you can click on the person in this new program, and invite for a private chat, exactly the same way you can now.

It might be easier just keeping both systems going, I don't see why not, other than it might confuse new people. dontknow
