Do you find it interesting or disturbing If someone is on the forums looking to entice others into arguments.

Just wondering where people stand on this issue. Personally, trolling is harassing behavior and is someone is a serial offender, after having been warned say for example, five times, then they should be banned for good.

I have three famous stories, 2 recommended reads and have come in the top ten in two competitions~ Come in and make yourself at home.

No, I don't find it interesting or disturbing tbh.

For gods sake its a website, none of it is real.

I admit if you are on the receiving end of it it can be upsetting, but then the fault lies with you as much as the person supposedly harassing/trolling you for giving them what they want by responding to them and that is why the block feature was added by Gav... But people are still responding and feeding these alleged harassers/trolls when they should be blocking them. Lush has given them an easy and efficient way to avoid these types of conflicts, yet people are still complaining and demanding suspensions and bans for what they perceive as harassment and trolling from other members when others just find it amusing, especially when people are too dumb or stubborn to use the block feature that the site has provided.

It is not for us to decide what is or is not appropriate for the site, what the rules should or should not be, who should be banned/suspended and for what or even to quote site guidelines, that is what the mods are there for because what one person perceives as upsetting or insulting does not mean it was or was meant to be.

What I find interesting, deeply disturbing and annoying is the consistent whiners who are not using the block feature Gav took his time to provide to avoid all this nonsense and constantly complaining to admin which takes up/wastes the mods time. Then they have the cheek to complain that the mods are not taking enough action, this is because I would assume they are too busy dealing with the whiners who should just be using the block feature.

Now I would suggest that instead of 5 warnings and your suspended/banned for these supposed offenders/trolls there should be a 5 whines and your suspended/banned instead for wasting admins time and not using the block feature. Far be it for me to say how the site is run, but I would suggest to admin that if say I was to complain about a post made to me by another member and admin I would assume would look into it and decide whether or not my complaint was valid then advise me to use the block feature? Then, if after that I continue to complain about said member and their posts to me because I am not using the block feature provided then admin would have every right to reprimand me and if I consistently continued to do that and perhaps make forums about it, because surely I would be deliberately trying to antagonise or lure said members(s) into responding in the hopes they will make a mistake thus I could justifiably report them to admin, after I have posted to get response out of them though and then delete it of course, so the mods can't see what I really said which I see a lot of the regular whiners do. Which is probably I have noticed why the supposed trolls consistently quote the whiners to ensure that their response is valid, which it usually is.

Now I would also go as far as to say that recently I am seeing more and more of these types of threads and I have to wonder if this has anything to do with a thread or post I am almost positive I saw (sorry I would post the link but i cant find it or remember when or where it was) by I think it was Nicola but could possibly have been a mod?? stating that admin were no longer going respond to petty complaints (my wording not theirs) and that members must use the block feature provided .

So I would suggest for those who are so easily offended that you take this sound advice... Or perhaps avoid forums where debates and heated discussions/disagreements on topics often occur as people have different views on many things and don't always agree. These threads should be avoided by sensitive people, but here is a link for a forum where I am almost positive conflict has never occurred or indeed, ever will so perhaps you would enjoy posting here instead binky
