person i would most like to just hang with : Jennifer Lawrence (who takes another fall on the red carpet and simply busts a gut laughing about it. she's just brilliant. she looks really good in red, too. biggrin

Love Jennifer, so gorgeous and doesn't take herself that serious. And her skin, Flawless! Be so funny if next year she has 2 men carry her down the red carpet just to be safe.

DD,

I totally agree with you on Charlize. I though she looked amazing as usual. My vote for best dress last night. And Kate Hudson who I normally do not like looked great too. I also agree on Cate Blanchett, I want to like it but I'm not sure I do.

But I really hated Emma Watson, to me it made her look matronly. Maybe it's the hideous "Potato Sacks" behind her in that pic that makes it look good to you, LOL

As for the men, Leo killed it as usual. He looked so "Old Hollywood". Loved it! But I'm very biased about Leo

Haha.. I actually don't like the dress in pics but on stage I thought it looked nice. It certainly wasn't a showstopper like the other women but it was kind of casual/easy-to-wear. Like any woman could have that dress in her closet and look good in it. It was 'accessible' and not trying too hard, I guess.

And I agree... let's stop for a moment and praise the hot men of the night.

Leo...

Chris....

And Brangelina... the power couple of Hollywood and damn, they are always so glam. I wasn't overly thrilled by Angie's gown to be honest, but she's just so fabulous that it doesn't matter what she wears.

Angelina looked pretty good. After all I have heard about how thin she has gotten, I kind of expected to see some emaciated waif like shadow of her once amazing body. She is far from what she once was but still looked..................well she is Angelina! I'm also not crazy about the gown, not sure if she is trying to hide something but it doesn't flatter her figure. Brad looked great too but I miss the long hair.
These are the picks going around for worst dressed:

I disagree with Glenn Close - I don't mind this dress on her - she was doing the sombre introduction for people that passed away so it made sense not to be too blingy.

Anne Hathaway - that thing was giving off major strobe light effects on stage.

Gaga - not a fan of the dress but that scarf brings down the whole outfit. She's usually so cool - not sure why she went this conservative.

Sally Hawkins - grandma-drapery overload with all that lace from head to toe.

And then there were a few others...

Liza: I have no words for this. lol

and Whoopi... what happened? I know she's not exactly a fashionista anyway, but those 8 foot pearls awkwardly knotted. The shirt/dress thing just looked sloppy somehow.

Also Pharrell Williams. What's up with these shorts on the red carpet?

For me, Lupita was the best dressed. Loved this so much and the ballerina headband was so perfect with her short hair. And her acceptance speech was just.... ahhh-mazing - the best speech of the night, in my opinion. She's definitely the new "It" girl of Hollywood. Love her.

Loved the speech but the dress, Meh! I know I am totally in the minority but I just don't think it goes with her body or lack of one. To me she needs a little more up top to pull it off! I do think the Gown was nice just not for her.

For me, I think the only reason it works is because she is very petite up top. A neckline like that would look too too much if she had cleavage. The way it is now it's just very fresh and girly and effortless.

It was also a memorable choice for a dress in a sea of kind of meh outfits for me. There was so much black, beige, and champagne. A lot of people loved Sandra Bullock and Amy Adams dresses but I just found them so safe. Black. Navy. Conservative. I was pretty underwhelmed by a lot of the dresses this year. I loved Lupita's pretty cloud of colour and on her skin tone especially, it was extra gorgeous.

I agree on the color, it did look great on her. and I also agree that the overall choice of dresses this year was very underwhelming with way too much cream and black. I also agree that excessive cleavage would not have looked good in that dress but a little something would have improved it in my opinion. Like I said I know I am in the minority, maybe on an island all by my lonesome. But it just didn't do it for me.

I do agree she is the new "it" girl in Hollywood.

Sandra Bullock

Amy Adams

Matthew Mcconaughey

Jared Leto

Although she looks pretty, I'm not feeling this dress at all ...

Julia Roberts
I agree - I wasn't really into Julia Robert's dress either. That black lacey peplum thing looked like it was cut weird. Almost like an afterthought.

Also... what has happened to Britney Spears? Layered DIY mahogany hair, a choker with a tassel and a rather unsupportive dress. I wouldn't have even recognized her.

I really love this dress on Sienna Miller. Really nicely accessorized too. She looks so good.

Diane Kruger - eeek. This is an alarming amount of black lace.

And what party is complete without a Kardashians appearance. lol. Boobalicious Kim and Kourtney's outfit - not sure what's happening there or why she's dressed like a dude. Elton looks awesome in his signature style though.
