Its gotta be a cup of tea and a fry up!!
I did partake in a few glasses of wine last night, the article caught my eye.
If I ate vegemite, garlic and oysters right now I'd probably hurl! Freshly squeezed orange juice normally helps me, as does lemonade. Plain toast with vegemite is also good for the sodium hit.
Yeah, I'm a bananas and chocolate milk kind of hangover girl myself.
But if it's been a really intense party night, I'm lucky if I can hold down water.
I tried vegemite once when I was in Australia and it was a traumatic experience, even without the morning-after spins.
That's the hair of the dog cure isn't it Alan?
Back in my younger days I used the hair of the dog cure, too. The first drink almost made me cry but numbers two and three always went down a treat.
The other hangover cure that always worked well was a huge slurpee.
Those days are behind me now though, and I've gotta say I don't miss them!
Carbs, water, tylenol, more water...gatorade if available in the fridge. In the morning...beer and eegy wakes, with toast.
eigther something fried, like a greasy sausage sandwich... or something that doesn't resemble food at all such as novelty crisps (monster munch/space invaders/ skips) or pot noodle. I am soooo lucky to have a shop nearby for morning emergency foods!!
What you want is sugar and liquid! ...Brown cow (coke with milk) for the thirst ...with a paracetamol thrown in for good measure ...and as much ice cream as you can stomach.
And then jump back into bed and sleep ...!
The other(better) alternative is a good workout - sweating it out -and trust me; there is no better cure. Just keep hydrating!!!
I'm a fry up kind of girl. Got to be said!
You must give up the life that you had planned, in order to live the life that is waiting for you..

For a hangover I take 3 glasses of straight bourbon and go back to bed. ugh!
This depends on the level of hangover...a level 1 hangover(can function normally expcept for a bit of a headache) can normally be cured by headache tablets ,some green tea and a nice english breakfast, A level 2 hangover( slight nausea, fuzzy head and can handle heavy machinery sort of) headache tablets, coke a cola, a cornetto and when the sickness goes something proper to eat(normally toast and some bacon), level 3(can not function normally, head is throbbing so badly that any movement induces nausea and room spinning) can only be cured by strong headache tablets, a little water and sleep for a few hours.
For an old fashioned hangover I find the only thing that really works is lots of rest, lots of water, some pain killers and soda crackers.
In terms of preventative measures, it's all about the cucumbers!
No joke, whenever I am having my first few drinks at home before meeting up with friends at the bar I always cut up a cucumber and munch on it while I'm getting ready to go.
Not sure how it helps, but one of my girlfriends told me about it and it actually works!
Now whenever I host party time at my place I always have a platter of cucumber out for my guests!
a good workout at the gym!!! works good for me
I'm disappointed to see that Pho (or many different Southeast Asian soups, actually) isn't on the list. It re-hydrates, and the spices help to cleanse the alcohol from your system.
I have a friend who worked on the Ozzfest Tour a couple years ago, and according to Ozzie, the hangover expert: Pedialite
As far as the milk thistle, I was a a painter for 22 years and used it when I got sick from acetone build-up in my system, so I can see that it would work for a hangover
