Just curious, as I have several albums. If I wanted to share pictures and make them visible to my friend, can I move pictures from different albums into a new album, or do I have to save the image and re-upload it to the new album.
I am 95% certain that you can not copy/paste or drag or by other means move images between albums so yes either upload directly into the album of your choice or into your gallery and select from there. If I am wrong about this I am sure someone will correct me.

The image gallery is a collection of single images whereas the album is as it implies .. one typically only gets into albums if you have a few perhaps on different subjects or you want to grant different specific friends access to different albums. The image gallery you can choose for everyone to see or friends only.
