Is online chat with friends no longer possible please? I can see that you can message members but cannot see anything related to chat. I know that there are chat rooms so is it now message or chat rooms but nothing in between. I do/did most of my contact with friends in online chat.
I know how to do it from within a room, just press on their name and an option to mention or whisper appears. Whisper is the old private chat way of doing it.
Seems to work but I don't know how to do it outside of chat itself.
Whatever was posted is always meant in love and respect never to offend.
I'm also highly likely to have posted this from a phone so there may be typos or odd word changes, auto correct can be a pain.

Thank you for your reply. I imagine that I will get things sorted out in time but it was a bit disappointing/surprising to see one of the things that I used the most on the old site apparently is no longer possible.
I'm sure there's a lot of things we all need to relearn how to find again. Give it time and we will be adapting how we use the site to get what we want.

If you're on your mobile and can't see it, go into your settings and click 'desktop view' and it should show.
Failing that for now, PMs are set to conversation style and you can have a chat which looks very similar to the BB chat functionality on the old version.

I also miss the chat box, as does PJH. I had a look in Chatroom and the first thing I saw was a picture of a male penis. Not what I wanted. I am afraid Messenger is not fit for purpose. Who ever thought that grey text on white was a good idea and you cannot see what you have typed bar a few words. The advantage of the chat box was you could click off Lush while chatting. My partner in life does not understand. I am very disappointed in this new version.

Glad you and your friend enjoyed it fantasylady, it worked for us (my friend and I) too.
Fantasylady, when you go to the chatroom, turn off the images, using the settings. If you are on a laptop it's a cogwheel at the top right, and from a phone you go to the menu top left then click the cogwheel at the bottom of the page. Then you can get just the chat without the porn pics. Also you can get rid of the cameras to make more space for chat. Select camera size, don't show.
You can open up a private chat with someone as long as you are both in the same chatroom. Just click their name on the people list. It's like the old chat except that it disappears afterwards, it's not kept for a week as it was under the old system.
