So tell me, if I was allowed to post a pic from my Private album onto a friend's wall it woudnt be private anymore why can i post the same pic in a chat room room and that is ok .... sorry the whole thing is illogical and just doesnt make sense !!!!!!!!!
Hopefully someone will come up with a sensible answer. perhaps someone from the tech dept should answer tech questions?

You can't post pictures from your private albums on other people's walls or in the forums.
I believe the "Private" only applies to opening the containing folder not the image itself. I can open any private image, copy the address, and post it as a comment (or in a forum post) using camera/external/url address. 
Or am I not understanding the issue?
That does seem counter intuitive if you can in Chat, but given the inconsistency of posting methods across the board, not surprising. I hope, in time, things will become unified. Until then, I'll just do as above -- it's not perfect, but it works.

Yes Kristin that is exactly the point i have no wish to post pics from my personal or private albums onto peoples walls but for some reason it will allow me to post from those albums in a chat room it is totally inconsistant but thanks for the tip of copying the links i will explore that in future meanwhile my original complaint stands> Why cant we post from our files on our PC instead of having to download them to an album and then post them on a wall or in a chat room. by the time I have done that i have lost the will to live 😊
Anyway lets draw this discusion to a conclusion but i will continue to press for a resolution to posting our pics from our PC. Come on you techies stop drinking coffee and get this resolved >>>>>>>>>>>> now where is Gavins email address 😊
I do know that the upload option is to be made available, as it is in the forums, when you post on a friends wall. I do not however know when that option will be available/implemented.

To view your own media:
1. Click your Avi at the top right hand side of the page
2. Choose 'Media'
3. Select the album you wish to view - it will then show you the first 28 images in that album.
4. Scroll down, and just above 'Albums' (where it shows you all of your albums). You can see 'Pev' (previous page), then 'Page 1 of ...', and 'Next'.
5. You can either type into the box the page number you wish to jump to, or click 'Next' until you find the image you're looking for.

I have been able to post links, mostly from BDSMIR, before and have many of them on Friends pages. Now I can't post those same links, AND all the previous links I posted on Friends pages can no longer be seen?????? I could post a few that I uploaded to my misc media file...but now nothing will upload into that file either! A big part of my experience here is sharing pics and gifs with friends I have here, and now I can't do any of it! Appreciate any insight anyone can provide!

Soooo...it's all BDSMIR's fault??? Why can't I get anything new to upload to the misc file now then? And it seems that's the only file that I can post to others from????

Well, since they've changed their encryption so as not to allow hotlinking.... yes.
Give your page a refresh, the images should upload.
Note that images you upload to the forums are automatically saved in your Misc.
Harley, I really appreciate you looking into this! I get BDSMIR changing their encryption...which sucks but beyond anyone here's control. That said, being able to upload pics to my Misc file is still not working. I was able to upload a few yesterday, but then it stopped. Is there some kind of limit? I only have 17 pics or gifs in there. Nadda has uploaded despite several attempts yesterday and today. Big THANKS for your assistance!!!!

Sorry for this droning on Haley. I did raise a ticket and they have done nothing with it. Just all part of the "new" Lush I guess.
