Don’t panic, I’m not thinking of leaving Lush again.
But the publication of my recent short piece “The Trouble with Erections”, which takes place on the London tube, made me think about the other stories I’ve written that are set on public transport. Several of them are also set on the tube, but there are a couple that take place on mainline or overground services.
I suppose this is partly because I’ve spent a fair bit of time on the tubes since my time at university, and now at work, and everyone knows you’re told to “write about what you know”. Stories set in such public places also by their nature often include an element of voyeurism and/or exhibitionism, which is another favourite theme of mine. The number of my stories where the sex actually takes place in a bedroom is fairly small!
So what of the travel-based ones? They are:
1. Exposing Myself – the first and so far most popular – a Legendary Story in fact, with almost 130,000 views. It’s a simple little piece, about me flashing on the tube (the Central line, if you’re interested). Described by one reader as "One of the top ten hottest stories I have read!"

2. Reading His Story – I almost forgot about this offbeat little piece, but the final act of masturbation takes place on the upper deck of a London bus, so it should count. It’s also a true story; the opening messages are quoted word-for-word. Described as "sensually satisfying".

3. Accident on a Train – A whacky little romp about pissing myself on a late-night train. Probably one for “water-sports” fans only, of which there appear to be many, judging by the popularity of all my stories on this theme. It’s had over 50,000 views, you filthy lot! Comments include "Literate and playful" and "flows beautifully".

4. Vignette: Getting Close on the Tube – a naughty little tale of being fingered on a crowded tube. Interestingly, it’s the Central Line again. "The operatic eroticism of an orgy" as one reader commented.

5. Naughty Games on a Train – this one’s about flashing and dares on a mainline train, with a willing accomplice this time. It’s a "Famous Story", and has been described as "awesome", "outstanding" and "one of your best".

6. Piccadilly Passion – this one’s a poem, written for the DirtyMartini competition, in honour of the late great man himself. It got an honourable mention, though I think Mr Martini himself would have enjoyed it best of all, because it’s funny and mucky and just meant to be enjoyed, like a lot of his own Lush poems. Not the Central line this time, obviously, but I had fun working in the names of lots of the actual stations on the Piccadilly Line. And the staccato rhythm is meant to echo the movement of the train, of course. Has been described as "awesome" and "an absolute gem".

7. The Trouble with Erections – the latest one (to date). It’s sort of similar to the Vignette, in that it’s two people pressed together on a packed tube, but with a slightly different outcome. And dear oh dear, it’s the Central Line again. Maybe that’s why it’s always so crowded: all my loyal Lush readers hoping for a grope or a flash. Comments include "Fantastic", "AWESOME", and "had its humorous moments".
