This was the first time that I've attempted to write in the 'Flash' category and was surprised at how difficult it was to stay under 1,000 words. I had to ditch quite a bit of exposition although that's likely for the better. My admiration for the authors that excel at this category has grown immensely.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

Interestingly, this was the first piece of flash fiction I've published that has gone over 900 words. I'm always conscious of the need not to pad it out just because I've got "words left". And cutting bits out until you've got down to 999 and then stopping seems wrong too.

Annie, had to quote you for a question, but first, My signature got kicked off because it was too big, so you weren't the only one, and yours is much more clever than mine was. I didn't have a clue how to make it smaller, besides, I've always been a girl who will quite honestly. YES of course size matters! If this is dependent on number of friends, I'm in deep trouble, I have 26 or 27 friends, and half of those are from when I was last around almost 5 years ago.

LOL, I did at least come in under the 1,000 word limit, and that amazed me, I only had to cut the actual sex down to a one liner.5vJzV9Xxe3stWoZC I love writing descriptions, set ups motivation and character back stories. Once my characters explain to me, who they are and why they are the way they are, they usually take over the writing and I'm just the conduit for them. They oftend surprise me. On a different story I just had four aproximently 10,000 word chapters put up on a site, and those four chapters were just loading the First Class passengers on on airline. Please could take a moment of their time read my story. To my horror this morning I woke I discovered that my story had gone missing. So I checked my stories to see if had been hidden but i discovered that it wasn’t there. So must have assumed that when I was on my phone last night when I was on lush that when I was rather sleepy at the time I must have accidentally deleted my story by mistake. So before i resubmitted the story I checked with lush admin with the wonderful help of Curvygalore to see if was aloud to resubmit the story again to the competition to which they gave the go ahead. Being as i am a very honest person I didn’t want to be seen as trying cheat in the competition. Hope you all will take the time to read and help get its vote count back up again
