Unasked for advice to Mad and Verbal: Dark can be good, but it might be best to go easy on the chainsaws.

I'm too classy for Saw XXX.
I really like this photo, to be honest. It sucks a little, as I had a story that would have been perfect for this concept, but doesn't match the entire theme. Guess it's time to put on my thinking cap and see what juicy ideas I can manage. I might be a little rusty. ?
I'm glad to see this competition has sparked a lot of interest, and that the majority of people understand the basic premise.

I don't think I could have made it any clearer, particularly as ideas were given for likely themes:

"To make things interesting, we decided for this competition, to use a photo, from which you can draw inspiration, and create your own theme. Your story should in some way, use the character in the photo."

"Maybe she's going to a music festival or just exited a relationship or job and she's going cross country and ends up getting picked up by a bad boy, a rich older man, a trio of hot girls, a frisky couple?"

If anyone has any questions concerning this competition, please feel free to message me.

Good luck everyone!
Not sure about this comp, but maybe something will come to me. Good luck to those who do take it on, though.
Perfect.

Honestly may write two entirely different stories at this point, time willing of course, as the ideas keep flowing. I just had another idea pop into my twisted brain on the way home from class.

I'm also open to selling them off.

Be warned though, the plots are super sleazy and super raunchy.

That's the spirit!

Who needs another stolid Valentine's Day story competition snooze fest?

It is often quoted: "A picture is worth a thousand words."

To make things interesting, we decided for this competition, to use a photo, from which you can draw inspiration, and create your own theme.

Your story should in some way, use the character in the photo:

Competition Theme

Maybe she's going to a music festival or just exited a relationship or job and she's going cross country and ends up getting picked up by a bad boy, a rich older man, a trio of hot girls, a frisky couple?

Maybe it's a roadside encounter or she gets taken to a cool party, a beach, or maybe enjoys hanging out with a gang of horny bikers?

We are deliberately leaving this theme open to interpretation, so use your imagination and see where it takes you (and her!).

In our case, and as a challenge to authors, this picture must be worth a story of 5000 words or less!

Full details here.

I never pick up hitchhikers, so I'd have no problem writing a story in less than 5,000 words....
okay, got an idea but no time to write it.

Giving this one a pass. But curious to see what others come up with.

You don't need sleep, do you?

Whereas I have an idea and some time but probably not enough talent to do the idea justice. Still, I've been having fun coming up with crazy ideas for the model in the photo (who might get a bit of a shock if she ever logs in to Lush...), so maybe I'll submit something.

But maybe I could sleep for you (he says, carefully checking his preposition, because despite being Australian, he's not that forward) while you write?

i accept, but you'll need to log at least 8 hours a night.

Marcellus Wallace's soul?
the suitcase is full of cocktail umbrellas.

my main plot is now set in stone (yeah, right)

Phil had better be asleep right now.

Clever.
soooo, yea. I definitely already have a soundtrack picked out/playing in my head as I brainstorm this story. Gotta love this comp theme. It was more for fucking dirty rock music paired with sleazy, asshole characters and depraved sex.

Only problem will be if I fall too in love with this story idea and want to turn it into something that bulldozes the 5K limit. Already have that fear.

So do I. And you really, really, really don't wanna know.

Ah, perhaps I should have found out how demanding you were in the bedroom before getting into this. You see, last night, well, it all started very well, but I probably finished quite a long time before you would have wanted me to

But, that doesn't usually happen to me - honest! So, I'm sure if you give me another chance, then I'll do much better this time.

Ummm, and now, maybe I'd better let this thread get back to figuring out what's in the suitcase...
Mines done ✅, let the fun begin
Hi All,
My story, Miss American Pornstar is not an entry into this current On The Road competition.

It is actually a story from the 2013 competition, Put A Spin On It. It had somehow dropped off the story list for that under the Competition category. It was being relinked and accidently got listed with the current competition stories (maybe a little glitch or something). Gav will get it fixed soon. He always does.

Of course, you're welcome to read it if like.

I just want to clear up any confusion until we get it relisted.

Thanks,
Buz
BC's entry, 'Security', is a good 'un. Check it out.
