Lush Awards

I was thinking that maybe Lush could hold an annual Lush Awards for the authors of the site? The moderators could converse and pick their favourite 5 stories for each category/genre, then it would be put to a public vote. The winners could have the accolate of a "Best BDSM 2010 etc..." badge on their profile.

I checked this part of the forum, and I don't think it's been mentioned before. It's just an idea. What do you guys think? happy8

I think there should be a special badge just for you, for having a negative post score. laughing8

Maybe a badge that says "Most negative poster" laughing6

If the public was allowed to vote all of the authors "friends" would vote them up. Then the authors that prefer not to participate in the forums or the having of "friends" part of the site would lose out.

I think the authors get stroked enough with the contests, voting, editors pick and comments that are already in place.

And I agree about the awards...we don't want drama on a sex story/chat site...

Public voting is always flawed. Watching American Idol or Dancing with the stars shows that drama is not limited to sex sites like Lush.
As writers though, don't we all want some validation that what we write is being well recieved? As amatures, that is about the only reward we get. I like the idea, but what the heck, that's just one mans opinion.
