Lush Stories 2.0. Please report bugs here

Good morning, since the conversion, I have not received any email in my Lush inbox, nor is any email being forwarded to my non Lush inbox. I usually receive lots of stories from authors I follow and also correspond with a few friends. Is this a known issue? Thanks!

OK, this is a different kind of bug, not having to do with functionality per se, but having very much to do with the conversion.

We've been told that the software was purchased from a dating site, and is in the process of being modified.

OK, fair enough.

But if that is, indeed the case, why is it that the Lush site has a link to "Swingers Heaven USA" at the bottom of each page, when the Blue site (storiesspace.com) is using the same software, but does NOT have that link?

And if we bought the software, why do all these OTHER people have access to us? I've had…shall we say…unsavoury invitations from people I doubt are Lush members. I could be wrong about that, but I'm not the only one.

Something doesn't make sense here.

Help?

An incredibly talented, but modest Polar Bear, often mischievous, but never malicious!

I can't access my media, either to upload new or delete old ones.  Any time I click Media, I get this "An error occurred during execution; please try again later."

when I try to check my messages, it goes to stories space login, if I click on my friends it goes to another stories space link

James, I'm not sure what you're implying with what sounds like the opening to a really bad conspiracy theory show... But...

HQ, who Nicola has partnered with run dating sites, including swingers heaven. It makes sense to have adverts for both sites on the other. It does not make sense to advertise an adult site on stories space, which is not an adult site. Plus, it's the same tech and support team.

We haven't 'bought the software', it's their own software and they built a new version of Lush for us. They used the skeleton of what they have for other sites and are customising it for lush.

And if you've never had an 'unsavoury invitation' from a lush member you're doing well. I could have papered my house with all the freakin unsolicited invites and dick pics received over the past few years. A lot of people join lush every day.

Can we please please please keep this thread for technical bugs. Conspiracy theories can be submitted as stories provided they're erotic enough.

Seen that thanks...someone's plugged tab A into slot B again. I've messaged them.

It's working now, thank you. Is there any way to turn off the wink?

Can you raise a support ticket for that please. Thank you. Link is at the top of this page:

Not yet, but I asked them earlier if we can just get rid of it, so hopefully soon.

When you select and go to a story, the author does not appear anywhere except at the very end.

This has been noted. I presume the rationale is that it shouldn't matter who wrote it until you've enjoyed it.

When you open the story, you get to find out how many others have liked it and commented etc. Then you get stuck into the story. You don't even see category/tags at the top because the implication is that you've seen those (and the author) before clicking through. The only time that isn't the case would be if you landed on the story from a search engine. But again, the focus is story first.

When you reach the end, if you loved it, you have the opportunity to see the author's profile to find any other stories by them, and also any story tags so you can find similar stories to enjoy. So from that standpoint, the flow works well. It's just... different to how it was. Less stuff to wade through at the top, and once you're reeling from how amazing the story was, you can fuel further reading.

This might change but I suspect it's low priority right now.

Over one million views on my stories can't be wrong, so please dive in and browse my 148 stories:

* 31 Editor's Picks, 84 Recommended Reads.
* 16 competition podium places, 12 other times in the top ten.
* 23 collaborations.
* A whole heap of often filthy, tense, hot sex.

I clicked on my mail icon and the StoriesSpace login page popped up. I don't (yet) have a SS account. I reloaded the Lush home page, tried my mail again and had no additional issues.

Will there be a way to block certain story categories /genres?

The email doesn't have the option to create folders, or am I wrong?

Same here, but when I went back it worked fine.

If you are logged in, you can put "https://www.lushstories.com/mailbox/inbox" in the browser address and it should take you to your mailbox. Worked for me.

Thanks, K, though as randomly as it began it just as randomly became a non-issue. lol if it rears it's ugly head again, i'll give it a shot. really appreciate it. heart

Wit the previous Lush Stories site some stories were downloadable by pdf. Is this no longer available please?

Does that mean Lush 1.0 had it wrong for all those years? And that books should only have author's names at the end and not on the title page?

Pardon me, but this is an ad hoc rationalization, and not a very convincing one.

From VioletVixen because part of her issue is she can't post on the forums right now:

I tried to report this in the bug report area, but was told to post it in the related thread in the forums so everything could be in one place.

First, some specs:

Desktop = macOS (MacBook)Version = 11.5.2

Browser = Firefox (92.0 release - up to date to the newest version at the time of writing)

Cellphone = iOS (iPhone 7, System Version 13.7, Safari - need to update to the newest version at the time of writing)

I can log in on my desktop, but not my phone (even with adjusting for the capitals in my username as suggested in the FAQ). However, I can log into Stories Space on my phone. Just not Lush. On Stories Space, my browser has my username saved in all lowercase, and despite the capitalization of my username, this doesn't appear to be a problem logging in there.

I was able to post in the forums, comment on stories, etc on my phone before the login issue. Although I have a preference to do this on my desktop so I haven't been very active on the other site since I ran into the below issue.

Even before the login issue on my phone, I was unable to interact with many parts of both Lush and Stories Space on my desktop. It appears to the be same issue. I can reply to comments on my stories via 'My Comments', but not directly. I also am unable to see anyone's comments on any stories, mine and others on desktop.

I cannot give a score on stories either (desktop).

On the forums, I cannot interact with the 'Like' 'Quote' or 'Create a New Reply' buttons. However, I can click and interact with 'Last Reply', 'New Posts' 'My Posts' 'Search' and the entirety of the 'More' drop down menu without a problem.

(Side Note: Selecting 'Last Reply' when logged in brings me to the top of the last page of the forum thread rather than the last reply, but when I'm logged out, it functions as it should)

Note that I am not getting logged out when I move around the site.

I've talked with one other person with the same macOS/Firefox combo who is having the same issue as me.

Thanks for looking into it.

why isn't there some kind of instruction manual? If this is an established website that we're working with in some fashion, surely they have user instructions?

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Support - this appears to be an FAQ for one of the other sites in HQ' network. As you can see, some doesn't apply and much is missing because there have already been many customisations and more are ongoing. There aren't the resources to keep updating it right now. Once things have settled and (unwanted) kinks ironed out, no doubt it will be filled out.

If you want to be useful, you could compile the various tips posted so far into a document that can be used as the basis for the updated FAQ, I'm sure that would be appreciated.

As for unsavoury invitations, it's because you're marked as male, but I can send you a bunch of dick pics of you're feeling left out.😇

I think the biggest bug of all is users not wanting to learn how to navigate the new site.

I know this site on mobile/tablet/iPad and desktop.

And it took me a day.

Now, what's your excuse?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but some stories seem to be going online without having had any input from an editor/ moderator. I've just read one that is currently on the front page and it is full of typos and obvious errors of grammar.  However it has happened, it doesn't make the new Lush look very professional.

Why not join my popular Lush Group One Tit Out Group | Lush Stories? For all those who enjoy pictures of women showing just one boob. Lots of cheeky flashes and accidental slips. Come on, you know you want to! Annie xxx

I have read some dreadful stories here in the last week, really not post-worthy. I can only think the Mods are overwhelmed with everything like the rest of us, but it does slap mud on the site's reputation.

Over the course of the past week, i have submitted four or five photos for verification. As yet, this has not been approved / verified, can you please tell me why?

Image verification is switched off at the moment so I believe the photos will have just been applied to your profile without verification. However, I am expecting the verification process to be enabled today since we have far too many profile photos and cover images that contain genitalia.

The old site used to list stories written by me and then the ones that were co-authored - this should at least be a tick-box option as cluttering up my list with stories I have edited doesn't help people find my own work so easily.

1. I used to get an email if someone commented on a story - this has stopped.

2. Also emails from Lush admin of any sort only go to my alternate address and not to Lush emails - strange - they should go to both.

3. Also I don't get emails telling me that someone I'm following has published a new story

4. You used to be able to attach a photo to an email but now you have to upload one to the profile, add it to the email and then delete from the profile - this is a retrograde step I fear.

5. The old system forwarded all emails and notifications to my alternative email address so I knew when to log in to Lush. This doesn't appear to be happening. Some go to Lush and some to the alternate address - why not both?

6. I can no longer send emails to all my friends in one go, or all my followers. There used to be a 'group' facility'

You can’t search by the members name anymore.

How do we get rid of seeing peoples footers?  Not interested in seeing those.

We don’t have a list of the moderators and admin team anymore.  Will we be able to see that?

Hugs,

Mysteria

Go to the magnifying glass and then to the bottom of the list on the left hand side. There is an option for "advanced" click it. You can search by member name there. smile
