Thank you to the dev team and for everyone listening to our issues here everyday. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be, especially since Mods are volunteers!!! So thank you. 

I applaud you all for fixing so many things everyday. At the beginning of the week, I was not getting notifications on lush mail or outside email when someone commented on a story and now I am. And I am also getting other notifications on outside email. And there are just many improvements each day.

I would just like to make sure that it gets on a list somewhere to make sure that followers get notification when an author publishes something. I know it is a "down the road priority" and that is fine, as long as it is on a list. 

The other thing is that my media page keeps giving me an error message in red letters "An error has occurred please try again later"  Simple John had sent me an email to put this here. I thought it was fixed at that time, but it is back.  Am I doing something wrong or is this just a transition issue and I need to be patient? Thank you

It's not about right and wrong. That's how it is now; I was speculating why the designers might have chosen this path.

Reading online is a different experience to a printed book. Shorter paragraphs are easier to read than blocks of text, for example. Books are a fixed width, browsers have fluid line widths. Web pages have information "above the fold" like a newspaper, but that fold is variable height depending on device dimensions.

When you land on a web page, the content needs to be pretty near the top. Less scrolling to get past the fluff. More immediate for search engines to get their grubby mitts on too.

Yes it's just "one more line" in this case. But then someone suggests the category should be listed. Then the ability to download it for offline viewing. Then tags. Both top and bottom, which adds to the page weight/byte count that slows page rendering and overloads the server when multiplied by thousands of users. Plus there's the image (which usually contains the author name) reducing the need to display it at the top for visually sighted people. The information can be embedded in the document to assist there.

I'm with you. I think the author name should be at the top, perhaps between title and tagline. It'd be a definite win for screen readers. I'm just saying there are more pressing issues right now and that it's been noted and may be changed in a future version drop.

Membership is Gold, but it seems to think I'm a non-member. It says I don't have a subscription and I can't do some things, etc.

Since I'm being treated as a non-member for the moment, I noticed I can't reply to comments on my albums that I get from friends. I get a red popup which reads,

"You do not have permission to leave feedback for this user."

As far as I can tell, the user in question is on my friend's list and not blocked in any way shape or form.

The other of these things is the inability to upload x amount of pictures. After a selecting a certain number of photos to upload to an album when I mass select them from a folder on my desktop, it comes up with the following message for those that went over the limit (I'm too lazy to figure out the limit - is it size of all uploads together, or is it the number of files uploaded?)

"undefined You have reached the limit for your membership, upgrade to upload more."

I would like to know what the limit is on media files -- photos and videos -- but I also wanted to point out there's a way around this limit that allows me, in theory, to mass upload photos (I haven't experimented with .mov or .mp4 files yet) indefinitely. This means I could upload a million plus files and no one would be able to stop me. Even though the website has identified me as a non-member.

All I have to when I reach the non-membership limit, is upload the files that were allowed, wait for the green pop ups to tell me I uploaded them successfully, select 'Close' below the uploaded media, and then select 'Add Media' without ever leaving the page or the album I'm adding files to.

If a lot of users were to upload thousands (or more) files every day, I imagine it could potentially tax the servers.

It would be nice to know max sizes, and also to know if there is a max for uploading. I imagine many users have hours worth of video footage to upload as well.

On Lush 1.0, unlimited file uploading was a membership perk, but there were hard limits in place for individual file sizes. Will this be possible for members (once the membership kinks get worked out, of course)?

It’s seems as if it’s intermittent as I had it earlier on my iPad but not on my iPhone, iPad now ok 🤞but got it on my iPhone 

The tech guys are still intermittently working on things, so every time they post an update, the site will go offline for a short while. I'd expect this to continue over the next week anyway. It's usually back up within minutes

That sounds like it might be a cookies/cache issue. Can you try clearing your history/cache/cookies for lush and see if you can get back in then? Thank you.

There is no 'mobile site', it's just one version now, so should work on either.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Support - this appears to be an FAQ for one of the other sites in HQ' network. As you can see, some doesn't apply and much is missing because there have already been many customisations and more are ongoing. There aren't the resources to keep updating it right now. Once things have settled and (unwanted) kinks ironed out, no doubt it will be filled out.

If you want to be useful, you could compile the various tips posted so far into a document that can be used as the basis for the updated FAQ, I'm sure that would be appreciated.

As for unsavoury invitations, it's because you're marked as male, but I can send you a bunch of dick pics of you're feeling left out.😇

While trying to download media to my media files i get a response; "Server responded with 0 code". and the file doesnt download

Okay. but that's not the way it used to be. The former final mode - which showed what the story actually looked like - I can't even remember what that was called. I understand the copy and paste and the saving a copy in Word procedures.

Sent several reports of not being upgraded to gold so I can't make a private room and post pictures.   A reply was sent that I paid the upgrade and fee and am a gold member but still am unable to make a private room and show images  .  On my profile page it also still indicates I am a silver member.  Please let me know when you actually fix this issue

We are Silver members and we can post photos in some rooms that allow photos and can not in some rooms that allow photos?

When we post it says link removed while others are posting photos?

No. You can save as a draft or post as a new submission.

I'm sure there are many important things on the bugs list and even more on the wish list, I'd like to add one to the latter.  On profiles the person icon goes to yellow if someone identifies outside the binary male/female gender category. Is there a way to have this carry over to chat icons? Thank you.

I liked when, in the old Lush Land, I could receive emails when an author I follow posted a story... it helped me as I can't always browse around.

I cannot access the Lush Stories site from my PC.  My log in name is Mandifan1 and I am a gold member.  All I get is a screen saying "well this is embarrassing...". This has been ongoing for the last three days.

Hiya, can you try clearing your cookies/cache/history of all things lush and logging in again? There was an issue reported earlier with session cookies and it might be the same thing. If you could let me know how you get on that would be great. Thanks.

No. You can save as a draft or post as a new submission.

Is that also true of stories that were in drafts mode before Sept. 6? There were quite a few few people who couldn't submit them and had to start them as new submissions again. That was discussed here quite a bit, but that was about three days ago now I think.  Anyway, thank you for your help.

Yep, same for them too. All good.

The only slight issue is the publication date and submission date don't match up. They will appear as new stories on the front page and in the categories, but will appear on your profile with the original date you saved them into lush, so might not be at the top of your published list, only on your profile.

I've alerted the tech people re this.

But yeah, they're good to submit anyway.

Lately, after I've left the site open in a tab for awhile, I get one of those "well this is embarrassing" messages after refreshing the tab. The weird thing is that when I return by way of my profile, it works fine.

I'm using Safari on a 7th gen iPad if that helps any.

Since the site upgrade, I am not getting email notifications when authors that I am following post new stories.

Has IM’s been covered on this thread (can’t read back through 12 pages)? Or is there another thread I should post on? Don’t know where to start with the bugs. Seems completely unstable and I’ve no idea if a message has been received.  

There’s the switching between being able to write a message or not (I appreciate that might be because the person might have gone offline, but it’s very unhelpful), and then the fact that it flicks back to old messages constantly, even if you don’t want it to. 

Are there any tips on how to use it, or is it just not fit for purpose yet? Are you planning to resolve the issues or should I just give up trying and go elsewhere?

verify your email again. you should start to get messages shortly after that. keep in mind that the emails no longer give you the message, but simply lets you know to pop on to lush.
