You're such a goof!

The more I see it the more fascistoid it looks though

So it's back to Daffy polishing his car for me.

Oh and some titties to calm down Dani:

At first I was like:

But then you posted the titties, so now I'm like:

I actually just had this conversation with someone a few days ago. I think it would be great to hide/block one particular person"s"... Why? Well, for me, some people just post WAY too much and clog up the front page. If we have them hidden we wouldn't have to see the same person"s" every single day on the front page, sometimes even twice a day!

I have a little more I’d like to add. I think being able to block certain author’s would be great because so many authors write pseudo . I really don’t want to see that crap flooding the front page, but it seems to be a popular thing by many writers. I shouldn’t have to block the whole genre, because a handful of authors can’t move away from those kinds of stories. Therefore, if we can block those who write in it, it would be a lot more helpful all around.

Stories about step families is allowed. But, I can see if you don't like them you should block them. It's not as you say. Last I checked step families are not related.

Just saying...

Genre's aside, as I really have no issue with what others want to write about, I can see why not seeing stories by writers you've blocked would be desirable. To me, it isn't about the subject matter though. It's just about not being bothered by a person who someone has chosen not to have contact with.

I also would support it so that my own works would remain on the front page that much longer. That is, admittedly, a completely selfish reason to support the idea.

The Wild Girl anthology need not be read in any order but does take place in the following timeframe

Wild at Heart- 1968. The story of Dani’s Great Aunt Evie.

Wild Oats. Part 1&2. -2021. Dani is 16 and sets her sights on her stepfather.

Wild Child. 2025. Dani is now 20 years old.

If Gav were willing to do this (and I stress the word if,) then it should be connected to the block already in place that had been extended to the forum since it's most likely that if you didn't want to see a person's stories... you already don't want to see whatever they write in the forums as well. Personally... I'd just like to see the block extended to our timeline so when you block someone & they quote you... you don't see their nonsense.

If it's an issue of categories... that block is already in place and has been for some time. Case in point... until Lush decided to do away with it... I had the category blocked, so I never saw those stories except when I was on a friend's profile page. If I accidentally clicked on a blocked story (which I did once) I'm reminded that I've got that category blocked.

I think once you block a person, everything about that person should be blocked, you dont see anything about them and they dont see you. That includes, forum, stories, post, everything.. Its like they dont exists any more.

I couldn't agree with you more. Let's be real... not dealing with anything from anyone you've taken the effort to block should be all encompassing. If a person chooses not to use the block for a member, there is still the category "hide" option.

But right now the only thing the block feature is doing, is keeping them from your stories(scoring or commenting), contacting you, and you seeing what they write on the forums. But they still see what you write, then write crap about you, but you can't see it, but everyone else can! you still see there post, they can still see your Bio.(If you use the only friends can see your Bio, then no one else can, only those that are block should not be able to see it) We need a block that "really blocks them from everything." Like NymphWriter says, if we use the block, then let them be blocked from everything..

The forum is a social medium. If everyone can block others from following the whole discussion then threads may soon make no sense at all to anyone anymore. If one doesn't want to be bothered by the posts of certain members, then being able to hide their posts should be sufficient, like it is now. And yes that means they can still respond to your posts. Your decision to block should affect your experience, not theirs.
You can already create invite-only groups these days, where you can invite all your friends to join you in discussions free of comments by the folks you'd like to block from reading your forum posts.

For stories and bios it's different in my mind as these are far less social.

Really? This is a serious discussion? This site has a few firm but fair rules governing what is allowed and not allowed. Consenting adults and no one is getting hurt or threatened, that pretty much covers it.

I enjoy seeing the wide variety of sexual fantasies represented at this site. I think that the tolerance for sexual interests that differ from our own is one of the strengths of this site. Accepting and even celebrating our differences is something we should all strive to do. It makes for a richer, more interesting world.

If the desire to block another writer's work from your homepage is purely personal...well, that's not even worthy of consideration.

The cats are there to keep the mice in their place. The mice want blocks now and that's understandable because some mice don't like reality and want to keep their internet experience reality free... But if you give a mouse a cookie they're gonna want a glass of milk, unfortunately.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

It is very much a serious discussion. Some don't like what a specific author writes. Some have had such issues with a member/writer on this site that even seeing their stories on the home page bother them. Now, as far as stories goes... if category/genre really bothers me... I can (and have in the past) used the "Hide Category" option (and trust me... it works just fine.) The issue with the forum isn't that the block hasn't helped... but when a person who goes out of his or her way to quote someone they know has blocked them just to piss them off. Hence why I have asked a few times about this block extending to the timeline. If I've taken the effort to block someone who bothers, offend, or is just someone I no longer want to hear anything from... then seeing their nonsense in my timeline isn't helping.

The author of this thread asked a serious question. Honestly, I don't read stories because of who wrote it... unless it's an author I'm already following... I read stories because they catch my eye and my interest.

And I'll never block Milik... he writes some great stories and some kinky shit.
