While a high score is nice, and a low score can be frustrating it really doesn't matter to me. I love to get comments good or bad. It is my way to judge my own work and to try to improve as a writer. Of course good score lead to more readers and in the end that is what it is all about. That is why I really like the Editors choice section. If people are looking for quality, that is the best place to start. Mainly, I just like to write. If it gets noticed and complimented so much the better, but I would keep writing regardless of the feed back as long as people are reading my work.

The Wild Girl anthology need not be read in any order but does take place in the following timeframe

Wild at Heart- 1968. The story of Dani’s Great Aunt Evie.

One thing to remember as a writer. No matter how good a story is, there is always going tobe someone who doesn't like it. Not everyone loved Star Wars, Cast Away, or Lord of the Rings. I've had a story rejected outright because it was to hard in the reluctance catagory. I didn't get upset. The Moderator felt it would probably be offensive to some readers and they were probably right. One just has to roll with the punches and hope that most of what your write is enjyed by most of those who read it.

Milik, the only other way for me to explain why I get upset about the scoring is for example, my story was number 5 (on page one) on most popular of all time. Then someone (and all it took is one member) gave me a two with no comment and now my story is on page 9. The views for that story have dwindled down to nothing. So it's not really the scores, it's more the views. And yes I do love the attention LOL who wouldn't.

Plus the fact that when I first started this post it was because of a friend who I consider a fantastic author got knocked off completely because of the same reason above. But then someone did it to me and it got abit personal.

Also would like to say I am very glad your score has been fixed Alan. Thank you nicola!!!
Here's my take on the whole voting thing. First of all who cares! Personally if I read a story I vote on it, out of respect for the person writing it. I can't believe the number of reads some stories get, then the lack of people who actually cast a vote. It might take ten minutes to read a story, but only one second to vote. If I am going to vote a 3 or lower I usually pm the author, and tell them what I liked and what they might be able to do to make the story better, sometimes it's a matter of grammar and adding paragraphs. But I never vote a 3 or lower on the story page.
that man who scored you a 2 is a fucking idiot....

your stories are awesome trinity.. do not let some asshole stop doing what youre good at!
