Title Changes

I know we can go in and edit the text of the story without changing the # of views/comments. Does that work with title changes too? Can you change the title and keep the stats?

Are you talking about adding a "Part 1" or do you mean changing the title fully?

I am pretty sure you can. Under your Profile scroll down to My Stories and go to Edit.

It's a full title change. From "Shard: Theater" to "Enraptured." Because "Shard: Theater" is a really bad title. I can do that?

Shard theater sounds like it would be... A shitty show. Like when you attempt to fart but a little shit comes out.

I think you should be able to change the title. I've actually wanted to change the title of one of my stories before too and found out you could not. I can't think of any cons really except someone changing the title of their stories constantly and wasting everyone's time. I was actually surprised you couldn't and think it's just an oversight when the site was being designed really. I imagine it would be just like when somone changes their site name and it just gets replaced everywhere but all the numbers and posts stay the same.

I changed the title of my first Lush story from "A Walk and a Fuck" to "Wet Mountain" after it had been online for several years, and it didn't change the stats or comments.

So that seems to show that you can.

Yeah, "unique" describes it. So does "incredibly fucking pretentious." smile

In my defense it's a collection, and I was trying to find a way to group them. But that was pretty clearly not the best solution.

I changed my title on my newest story. It did not need to go back to the moderators.
