I would love to see a section for Stories by Ladies and a section for Stories by men. I prefer to read a story by a Lady and her perspective.

If you're told a story is written by a lady, does that make a difference to how you read it? Is it psychological, or fact?

Try reading Stephanie's stories. There's a hot bitch for you, and she'll make you spurt if you can keep up with her! http://www.lushstories.com/stephanie/stories

If it's psychological, try reading stories by Frank Lee. He crawls his fingers inside a woman's brain and makes her come with just his words. I happen to know that he can do that to men just as effectively. Try them both and see if it makes a difference. http://www.lushstories.com/frank_lee/stories

A good writer proves that you can't tell what sex they are. It's their writing that makes you hot. If you approach the story based on what sex you think they are, of course it will make a difference. But not all Lush writers will be as you think them, you know...

I would love to be able to switch between "Invisible" and "Visible" through an extra toggle option where the current "Online/Away" toggle is. Or is there a quick way to already do this without having to go into profile settings?

I apologise if this has already been asked for or mentioned.
I would like a note on my friends with the date I last visited them at times it is hard to keep track, could just be my age having a senior moment.
Thanks for good site all in.

I wouldn't mind being able to save my editing work without having to send it in to be approved, if that is possible. Or have I just not found it!

When you are on your submission form (the page kind, not the BDSM kind), go to pre-view. At the bottom ( ) right of the pre-view, it gives you the option to "save as draft". Choose that one, and it won't submit it, but you can make any changes in your edit form afterwards (accessed through "My Stories").

If you hit "update" on the left, it will submit it, so don't do that unless you're ready! Use "save as draft" at the bottom of the pre-view page. I hope that helps!

I think a really nice addition to the site would be, when an author writes a story and submits it, when it is passed the mod who passed it sometimes says there were a few changes, nothing major, well, I think it would be great if we could then go into our story and see what has been changed. You know, like it would be highlighted so we can look at the original copy and the one passed to see what was changed, it would make it easier. Since we’re not told what is changed when the story is passed.

changes will be, 99% of the time - fixing misspellings, typos, punctuation, and grammar - we're not changing the story, simply cleaning up a few things. i don't have an issue of implementing this, if it's something that's easy and quick for Gav to do, but as a writer myself, i don't think it's up there on the top of the list of things that need to be done.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

During my stint as a story verifier, whenever I made changes other than obvious typos, I tried to tell the author what I had done. But, admittedly, that takes a bunch of time, and used to eat up a lot of space in the limited area we had in which to give comments back to the authors.

In general, though, I am inclined to agree with the lovely and talented Ms. Sprite; I don't feel it is at the top of the list of things I believe we need.

I am further inclined to say if we want to call ourselves writers, we should have the discipline to properly proofread our stuff. If we want to know what was changed, we should similarly be willing to spend the time and effort to find the changes ourselves.

I think it could be easily implemented with a check box type thing. For example your story had minor misspellings, there could be a check box for the mod to say that and at the end of the form, a box for specific errors. I hope this makes sense because I'm bloody shattered.

You can copy the story into a blank word document, save it, then use the MS Word's "Compare" documents feature, against the original, if you're so inclined

It might be nice to see the edits made on here all the same, it would make it easier for writers to see what was changed and why. That could only help writers improve.

I did not know that you could do that, but the second part of what you said is the reason why I thought it would be a great idea. I see it as a way to help improve the writers here on Lush, which is what we all want, isn't it? I do hope to see this take place.

The check box metaphor eludes me but I see what you're saying and I love this idea.

1 - How many times do you refresh that page? Can't you just pick a room and enter it?

2 - As far as I know, Lush has never had an issue with 'bot generated' chat rooms. A captcha system on the account registration page has already been/is under discussion. It would also negate the need for a secondary chatroom captcha as you need a registered account in order to generate a room.

3 - This one is up to Nicola. What would you call it?

1. The refresh button will enable us to know who are currently online under each room by updating the older information.
2. Then its okay
When you accept a friend request, the message disappears. Sometimes one would like to respond to the message and doesn't always have the presence of mind to either, copy and paste the message, or, learn it by heart, so it would be nice if those messages hung around, so we could respond to them directly.

If you open the message fully, it will remain there after you've accepted or rejected the request - I've just gotten into the habit of doing it that way...
I have my e-mail preferences set so that my G-Mail account gets a copy of requests - that way I always have them and the accompanying message

Along this same line, I would like a way of knowing the date I added a friend ... would be much easier to know just how long I've had someone on my friend's list. Maybe just another entry below the date joined, date last here (optional now), date friended

Ah, I shall have to remember to do that in future. Thanks smile

I totally agree with this.

Also, to humor my vain side, when someone comments on one of your pics can the comment be included in the email you receive from Lush. Kinda how the email shows the actual picture/content when someone posts on your wall now?? No hurry!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Gav!
I don't know if this has been suggested, 53 pages is a tad much to read.

The ability to subscribe to a thread so you can follow topics.
It's only kinky the first time.

If you go to the top of the page and then the first post on the page, there's a link labelled options, click that and you can click follow thread. That will give you some sort of notification when someone posts on it.

Thank you gingerkitty

It'd be nice if you added a next and previous button on the "Latest Forum Posts:" scoller, as its kind of annoying waiting for it to scoll its way around, especially since it resets its progression every time you hit a new page.
Any chance we can have a block gif option?

There's a user here with a 3.9MB gif avatar - yes, that's right - an avatar!

That one's been dealt with I think.

It would be better if avatars are restricted to < 200kb, not everyone is on a super fast connection.
Maybe there needs to be a thread for "Married" announcements? You know, to keep 'em all in one place so we can keep 'em straight, remember their anniversary dates (I guess monthly? maybe yearly anniversary dates), find out where they are registered, etc.

and then below it .... "Divorced" announcements? You know, just so we don't fuck up thinking someone's with someone when they are finished (hate feeling )

Maybe an option on the relationship status to include:

Divorced from ______
Broken up with _________________
