How out a way for people who don't want to talk to members of the opposite sex to be invisible. For example all the bisexual women who don't want to talk to men.

I have not sent a story in as of yet just heard the feedback from others of the process of going through it. Now I do believe this site only wants the best to submit stories just that we are not all great writers. So I do believe the stories are only as good as the Story mods are and some could think they are doing a services while not helping at all. If you feel like I am attacking rest a sure I am not. Now could LustStories.com relax on the rules or even better revise the rules that is up to them.

We don't require everyone to be great writers, and certainly not necessarily as good as our moderators (some of whom are simply outstanding writers).

We expect correct grammar and punctuation. We expect stories to make sense, and be erotic in nature. We expect stories not to break any of our terms.

A story has to be pretty abysmal to be rejected on the grounds of quality. I think in all my time as a moderator I've done it once.

I would like to have both authors in a joint story be given equal presentation, and their story to show on both of their pages equally.

I agree with you!

True
Complimentary wine (preferably a Chilean cabernet sauvignon), cheese and crackers. You don't have to worry about mustard. I'll bring my own. Thank you.
Okay, this may be a dense question, but what is the algorithm used to determine who appears on the Top Authors list on the home page? It makes no damn sense to me that (as of this very second) I am at the top of that list, when I haven't posted anything since 2 June, and someone like Dirty_D, for example, who has two Story Picks up, is below me on the list.
Want to spend some time wallowing in a Recommended Read? Pick one! Or two! Or seven!

no one has actually ever figured it out. not even Gav, and he created it. smile

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Ugh, as much as I love the new feature, it's rendered my newsfeed useless sad

Please can we hide liked comments on it?

(Possibly, it was just yours that were showing this time, no offense intended) smile

I've added a new section to your activity settings page that should help you filter out these events from your profile.

Let me know if you see any problems with it.

btw this will only stop new ones, not ones that have been posted already.

Oh that's really helpful gav!!

Thank you, I've just changed my settings. I'll let you know if there are any problems!

Have I ever told you I loved you? ...If not, well, I do. Like, me love you long time. Thank you dear for everything you do for us.

Just to be able to hold my arrow over my friend's to see who is on line in stead of having to click on it.

When it comes to scoring on a story, we have the option of 1,2,3,4, or 5. The difference between 4 and 5 is 20%. There should be an option for 4.5 or 4.75.

At school, we were given grades A B C D E etc. but also, minus or plus, e.g. A+ , or C-.

This gives more room, rather than jumping in blocks of 20%.

What do you think?

Thank...
I was wondering if it would help readers, if the profile page would change its appearance.
I was thinking to change Recent Activity with Stories Published By.. so that published stories would be at the top of the page. Quite few members have busy Recent Activities with pictures and videos, it gets a bit annoying before you reach their published work.
I know this would change current Lush appearance, it is just a suggestion.

I think this is a great idea!
Maybe an invisible status for chat rooms where you can visit unseen but not comment, or even be listed as an observer, but without speaking rights. For instance, women visit men's room all the time and are welcome but men are not allowed in ladies room. Would love to see what they chat about without intruding into conversation.
Also like the idea of more story grading options. Seems everyone gets at least a 4 or 5 but if you could grade on bigger scale, maybe it would make a top grade more valuable.
I am sure there are other things, but that is all that comes to mind now.
Is their a way with these new likes on stories to have the system remember which ones you have liked.

I'm noticing I get so many of the same ones. I also forget the ones that I have liked.

This would be great if it could be done.

Just picking up the thought. I'm not sure if fractional scores between four and five would work and how those could be implemented so they are intuitive to use for readers.

What I've got in mind would be a more detailed scoring system with individual scores for different aspects of the story. Just making up an example from the top of my head:

1. Character development

1 - [ ] Huh, there were characters?
2 - [ ] Yeah, there were characters, I remember now.
3 - [ ] Interesting characters! I even remember all their names!
4 - [ ] Your characters were lovely distinctive, gimme more of that!
5 - [ ] Wow, I felt as if I was your characters' heads!

2. Plot

1 - [ ] What plot?
2 - [ ] Something happened, but nothing important.
3 - [ ] Cool, this story had an interesting plot!
4 - [ ] This wasn't just plot, this was storytelling. Very good!
5 - [ ] Outstanding! Kept me guessing what would happen from the first second right until the end!

3. Writing level

1 - [ ] It was okay to read
2 - [ ] There was a certain flow in the story, at least mostly
3 - [ ] This story flowed well and was fun to read
4 - [ ] Well-written and imaginative language
5 - [ ] Brilliant! This story wasn't just written, it was painted with language!

4. Dialogue

1 - [ ] A bit plain
2 - [ ] I could see that you tried to make the dialogue work
3 - [ ] Your dialogue worked well for your situations
4 - [ ] Loved the dialogue, each character even had a distinctive voice!
5 - [ ] Absolutely brilliant! Witty, imaginative and absolutely believable!

5. Suspense

1 - [ ] Sorry, there wasn't much to look forward to
2 - [ ] I almost fell for the hints, but they were a bit obvious
3 - [ ] Yep, you kept me guessing!
4 - [ ] I couldn't sit still for even a moment! Well done!
5 - [ ] I kept biting my lip and chewing my nails. God, I almost died from suspense!

6. Eroticism

1 - [ ] The sexy parts need shaping out.
2 - [ ] There were some sexy moments.
3 - [ ] This one was sexy and had moments I loved!
4 - [ ] Wow, absolutely hot!
5 - [ ] Sizzling! I've got blisters on my skin!

If all of these were weighted equally, we as authors would perhaps get more detailed feedback about which parts could be improved and which work well while the combined scores we get through these would be better balanced. If readers could filter for certain aspects that are important to them, they could get some value as well.

Finally, what's not included in the scoring above is the explicitness level. This might also be an interesting information for readers - it might also be something the author sets when submitting the story. I do know that some of my regular readers are a bit out of their comfort zone when I submit heavier stuff.

How explicit would you rate the language of the story?
[ ] Tame ..... [ ] Romantic ..... [ ] Sexy ..... [ ] Dirty ..... [ ] No holds barred

I'm quite aware that my suggestion couldn't replace the existing scoring system and mixing scores between both would be rather pointless, so it would need a separate display and a catchy name to take off.

All this would do is have people that tend to ask for votes from their friends and vote-trade with other authors to recieve six votes of 5 rather than one vote of 5.
What about a simple feature to boost the social activity on the site like Mutual friends...it that too much to ask for lush admins. Secondly how about saving chats which are created in the temporary room. have tried saving those though never seem to find them..Lastly..are we living in the 21st century or wot ...- wot happen to video & voice chats option at least for those who want it built on the lush site..what u dont have enough infrastructure to add these basics in....?
Would it be possible to introduce two controls relating to the private chat request? .. one to block them completely and the other to non-friends.

Yes one can decline to open the request but I know from the chat rooms that some members just get bombarded with them which is most irritating (I do get complaints) and they need action to close the boxes down .. no boxes would be a better solution.
I noticed today that the audio section doesnt have the tabs at the top like the others do. No popular, viewed, or suggested little tabs nor a trending authors list. would it be possible to add these? As a reader I use them to find things to read/listen to and as an author it is incentive to try harder.

There are a vast number of authors that would tell you that the voluntary help that the moderating team give is nothing but supportive and helpful. When I first submitted my own stories I was not a great writer. It has only been through my stories being rejected, the guidance of the moderating team, and fellow authors help that I have increased my skills as a writer. I will always be grateful for someones help in my self-improvement.

When I was asked to moderate I saw it as a way to give back for all the help I had been given. The moderating team is there to assist authors and maintain a brilliant standard for the readers of the site.

It's always been my experience that you should give something a go and judge from your own experience.

I don't think its asking a lot that authors take time and effort to produce a story that the readers will enjoy. If you didn't feel the effort was worth it, then perhaps there is another site that would better suit?

Its not that the rules are bad and I not saying the story mods are bad either, just that I am asking the comments that a friend has shown me were kind of rude or smart ass way. I do believe that there are better ways in answering or giving feedback to another. Sometimes we all forget that e-mails or messages are cold contacts without a voice to show emotions. A feed back asking "is English or native langue if so I feel sorry for you" is this acceptable?

If your friend was not happy with the correspondence from the moderator, then they could've contacted a senior member of the team to raise their concerns. I don't feel that this is the correct place to air concerns. If your friend wishes to make a complaint, please ask them to go through the proper channels by using the contact form.
