Snickerdoodles. Though if you wanna get fancy, an ice cream sandwich made with two cookies and the ice cream in between, left in the freezer overnight for the cookies to soak up some of the ice cream, is the single best cookie-based treat known to man.

i had a white chocolate macadamia cookie earlier that was perfect. they used the huge white chocolate chips and it was nice and chewy.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. Yummy!! Also, the Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies, but only when they rise and are cakey. I hate when they come out flat and chewy.

Not sure the chocolate coated version is traditional but...

I love these and always make at least one big batch at chrissy to give away. Made them from a recipe not knowing what they were (described as 'cinnamon spice cookies - odd since it's just one of about 8 spices -including coriander and pepper) and when a dutch friend tried them he cried 'pfeffernuse' (a similar variant) as they took him back to his childhood.
