A Glance Over Your Shoulder?

Those of us who use Lush secretly, are you situated in an open area where you need to glance over your shoulder to make sure no one can see this site? I sometimes go to Lush while at work and need to be very careful. What about you?
Doesn't just apply to those of us who use Lush secretly; I'm fairly open about being on the site, but I have the computer situated in an open area of the kitchen, with sometimes-heavy small person foot traffic behind me. I upgraded to a Lush Gold membership (no adverts) and I always have the Blue Site open in another tab. I block images in chat and don't go into pic threads. I don't open attachments to messages unless the small people are securely in bed or otherwise occupied. All of these things are done with the purpose of keeping Lush from (in my case) from being seen by innocent but curious eyes.

I stayed with my parents during the summer...which is the longest time I've been there since getting my own place, and the only time I've ever hidden my online activity. Lush pretty much happened in my bedroom and nowhere else. My parents are old school, and they think sitting two cushions over on the couch is providing you with enough personal space.

As for in my own place, I have a roommate who's an adult. I never make it a point to hide what I'm doing unless it's very personal (finances or something like that). If she walks up behind me and I'm on my phone/laptop/iPad, I don't try to close out or switch tabs or anything. Just never felt the need. If I'm looking at porn or something erotic, she's seen a dick, vagina and tits before and she knows I like looking at them too, so no big deal there. She knows about Lush because after seeing me on here once, she was like "The fuck is Lush?" so I told her. And that was that.

When I'm out in public (typically the library), I'm usually in a secluded area. This has more to do with the kind of person I am than what my internet activity is at the moment. I also sit in a place where my back is to the wall because I like being aware of my surroundings and because I'm an observer (read: creep). In the event that I'm not secluded or with my back to a wall, well I have really huge hair...so it all works out one way or another.

I usually log on to lush from my workdesk computer, because i get too tired to be on lush after work, from my home computer.

When i do log on to lush from my home computer, i have to be sure that my mom isnt around. (Since i am currently staying with my parents).

I have to be equally careful at both the times.
I can't get Lush at work. Social media sites etc are all blocked out. I'd be too busy anyway.

At home, my flatmate knows all about it and thinks it's hilarious, but secretly I think she's intrigued. I read stories in my bedroom for obvious reasons!

I have always let anyone who knows me have their own private spaces. so they let me have mine. People know I come here and I tell them what the site is about. But I just don't naturally discuss details of a sexual nature with others anyway, so people have known me to be that way all my life anyway.
Yes, I sometimes go to Lush when I am at work, but it does help that I work from home and I am the boss of this one woman business!
At work I get on Lush and my own site SweetWhores several times a day, but I keep my laptop pointed so people coming into my office can't see what I'm on. Its not like I'm going to get in trouble, but I'd rather my employees didn't see how much time I waste when they think I'm actually working! :-) At home, I'm sitting on my futon (usually naked) in my TV room, while my room-mates are usually downstairs playing video-games, and no one cares what I'm doing online.
I make sure no one sees my screen. Less questions to deal with.
You do realise that your IT department know what you're looking at, right?

While a lot of people here wouldn't consider Lush a porn site, it definitely comes under the header NSFW. Story titles are also page titles - your web activity report will have things like "Fucking my neighbour's daughter" or "Taking a monster cock up my ass" on it.

And no, using incognito settings will not stop this happening.

Why not read some stories instead

Yes, privacy on the internet is a pipe dream. There's no angling the screen away from Big Brother.
haha yes I have had to do that in my old house, and I hated it sad

That's true when your whole office is on a central LAN, but in the case of Citrix server terminals (which my office uses), I can plug my laptop into the DSL before it gets to the terminal router network. Also an aircard comes in very handy at work and other places you don't want to share a LAN or hotspot.

Ditto. I think I'd get my ass hauled into someone's office if I even tried to access a site like this at work.

I don't think I'd make it as far as the office. I'd be chucked out the front door first lol
