Wow. No wonder the team refused to get off that bus.

wow ... this is where I wanna say .... come on kids, let's play some footie ....
It must be very frustrating to be a French team player, then.

I wonder if they'll even play in the next match.

I also don't like the acting-hurt jazz. Chile did a bunch of that in the game I posted in the Youtube clip. I'm telling you, the ref was stopping play once a minute.
The diving/acting hurt thing unfortunately is a big part of football. See last night's game of Brazil vs. Ivory Coast or the Italy vs New Zealand game for some prime examples.

I expect/hope the French team will get beaten by South Africa in the final group match. This World Cup has had enough French drama.

I might be a fan if I understood the noise....it makes me want to.....ring a bell
Portugal 7
North Korea 0

It was a turkey shoot...
Yes, finally saw Mexico kick France's ass...whoooo hooooo!!!

The Swiss with a big miss in the 90th minute against Chile. They could have tied. they looked like Brazilians with their final attack but looked very Swiss with the finishing shot...
Haha, fuck Switzerland. Their minute of fame was beating Spain. Although they might beat Honduras.
Chili rules. I dig that Sanchez kid.

Agreed, Chile play to win. South American attacking football is so much more attractive than trying to defend and then get a lucky 1-0 victory.

You just might see South Africa do the same...
Spain won but they should've scored a lot more goals. Their moment of truth will happen when they meet Chile in the final group match.

I can't wait for the Spain Vs. Chile match.

I read this in the media today, and it made a lot of sense:

But against an out-manned North Korean side, Portugal produced a dazzling exhibition of attacking soccer, reviving memories of how this tournament used to favor the big teams. In this World Cup, the biggest names have struggled to make their presence felt, apart from Brazil, Argentina and the Netherlands.

In this soccer world of big salaries and even bigger egos, I was very impressed by the way Kaka handled the red card given to him. Anyone seeing the incident knows what the ref did was wrong. Yet Kaka just smiled and walked off the field, without saying anything to anyone. He has to sit out the next match.

"I have to look at the positive side," Kaka said. "I'll use this time to continue working on my physical fitness. It's going to be important to get myself ready and return in top form for the next round. I'm happy for the result and I'm happy for how I played, participating in two goals. I'm gaining more confidence."

That's dignity and class in action.
Kaka has always been a class player. Although Brazil provoked the Ivorians a bit Kaka didn't deserve the second yellow card. He knew there was no point to arguing and acting like an idiot. He took the red like a man.

Tomorrow Mexico plays for first place. Even though I think Mexico can challenge Argentina in the round of 16 I would prefer them to get first in the group and avoid Argentina.

Uruguay leading against Mexico and South Africa trashing the frogs as expected.

Mexico probably playing Argentina in the next round.

Au revoir les blues!

They are playing Argentina. If Mexico couldn't beat Argentina's weak little sister Uruguay forget about beating Argentina...

Hopefully it will be an exciting game like last cup but maybe the Mexis will score the wonder goal this time.
Argentina beat Greece 2-0, and there were some wonderful goals. Greece is out now.

Tomorrow should be some good matches.

England vs. Slovenia

USA vs. Algeria

Ghana vs. Germany

Australia vs. Serbia

Who do you like?

England (they have to win one but I'm not too sure about this)
USA
Germany
Serbia

These games are hard to predict, could have a bunch of ties going on.
I'd love to see a 2-2 tie from England vs Slovenia, combined with a 0-0 tie from USA vs Algeria, so the number 2 seed from the group gets decided by drawing lots.

If that happens and the USA get the short end of the stick I'm afraid that might kill the sport here in the states.

that, and that it seems corrupt as fuck. Fouls that aren't fouls, and goals taken away, then they refuse to explain themselves.
