yep. Still shady and looks corrupt as hell. I don't see the fun in sports when it looks like the officials have an agenda. Who knows, maybe the fans of teams who are good at flopping around like sissies, acting like a leg just got chopped off with a dull knife whenever they fall down, and favored by the refs enjoy it a lot, but it's hard enough to beat another team without help from those in charge.
I remember when I was younger the sacramento kings got jobbed big time in the playoffs- I thing they lost a lot of fans after that. It wasn't much comfort when they were back in the playoffs the next year, waiting for it to happen again.

USA did it again, but by the skin of their teeth. Their luck won't hold out forever. I feel it is mostly luck, too, unfortunately.

As a Mexican-American I watch both Mexico and the USA matches. And when they play heads up I root for Mexico and yes the USA is the luckiest damn team in the world. I'm glad the USA won their group and I hope both Mexico and the USA make it past the round of 16 so they can bring some credibility to concacaf.

It's the region that includes North America and the Caribbean. We get three spots at the World Cup. I think it's the least amount of spots for any region. Concacaf is generally not as respected as the others. Mexico was the giant until the USA emerged as a competitive team about 15 years ago or so. USA and Mexico always qualify and the third spot usually changes every cup and it is usually a team that gets their ass kicked pretty bad. That third team was Honduras this year...

Mightily relieved to see England thru to the next stage and REALLY looking forward to a classic match-up versus Germany (please, please, please do NOT let it go to penalties!!!). Once we skip past Germany we can look forward to a quarter final match up with Argentina - oh my!!
