Mmm? I think they're more organised than skillful. A great team, but they aren't really breathtaking to watch.

Unlike Liverpool, eh, dpw?? ;)

Come on the Reds against Palace on Monday!
YES. my favorite teams are FC Bayern Munich and the German national team Go Germany today!!!
Never been much of a soccer fan. Neither on the big leagues or as my kids playing it. Thankfully neither of them took it up!
I do however enjoy David Beckham....so does that count as a yes maybe.....lol

Now if you asked if I am a hockey fan....YES!!!!!!!!
Yes. I enjoyed the World Cup so much. USA is getting better. It was fun. Sorry England and Spain but we lasted longer. Cristian Renaldo I hate you. Soccer is popular for girls here but not men as much maybe before. My friend went crazy! I would put my children in it one day.
Yes I am. FC Bayern Munich is my favorite.
nope...it's cricket for which i'm crazy about!
Yes. Juventus is my team.
Mexico vs. Chile right now in the Copa America.

Both teams need a win. One team is the home team. Both have some good players on big clubs.

my money is on Chile. sorry, but while I'd love to see Mexico win, they are just not that deep this year. Of course, if Tecatito comes out on fire, you never know. still, my pick is Chile. Vidal and Sanchez are going to be hard to stop.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I'll pull for Mexico. I have nothing against Chile at all, but as a Norte Americano, Mexico is the next door neighbor. So Go Mexico!

Smart money is on Chile. They have all their good players. Mexico is missing over half of their true starting lineup. They are invited guests to the tournament. But I agree, smart money is on Chile. You never know though, Mexico tends to do very well against South Americans, even when weak.

They represent concacaf man. Concacaf having a good showing is good for the US too. Makes us look strong too. I hope Mexico and Jamaica do well.

I think Brazil (as much as they annoy me) will edge out Argentina. They have a strong team this time.

Jamaica might not win a game, sadly...but I hope they have at least a couple of cool goals or something.
Fucking shit! I wasn't even finished celebrating Mexico's goal before Chile equalized.

1-1 now!

i'm sticking with Argentina for that reason alone - i don't want to see Brazil take it. Columbia could do well too, but i don't think they'll pull of the win.

and yeah, i am a a sucker for underdogs - GO JAMAICA! smile

I'd rather see Argentina win too if Mexico doesn't advance.
Is that the sport where they run around and kick the ball and when they are barely touched throw themselves on ground like they were gored by a bull?

Nope. I watch American football where the violence is real. Lol
When it comes to soccer I'm just an outsider really. But I would like to see them change the rules to allow for fast breaks. Of course the scores would be higher.

I played football in high school, American tackle football, and we were very good, but our school also had a great soccer team. A lot of Mexican and Central American immigrants had been moving to our area for the past two decades. For the most part people got along very well at our school, overcoming cultural and ethnic differences in a very positive way. We had a host of Hispanic kickers from the soccer team that kicked for our football team. Football was in the fall and soccer in the spring, so we always had a big group of football players go support the soccer team and vice versa. Athletics played a big part in bringing everyone together, making us all feel as one. It was our school, our teams that we all shared a love for and cheered for.

Sounds like you have never played soccer. Run full speed at me and it wouldn't take much to make you roll around on the ground.

I don't really want to get into comparing the two anyway. One has pads and to be honest, not many people that look like you, chuckepoo, get into the "violence".

Fast breaks is how half the goals are scored Buz-o.

Nope. Didn't play soccer. Played football and basketball in highschool and college. Still play Basketball, surf and jujitsu. I'm aware soccer is the number one sport in world. My ex played in college and drug me along to watch the Galaxy. She was a big fan. I just couldn't get into it myself. Different strokes for different folks.
Grew up watching it in Mexico, my favorite memories of my family, are those of the whole family getting together on Sundays... women in kitchen, or dinningroom, men watching the games... and all 32 of us kids out playing down the mountain, just loving life...
and when it was championship time, even more so at an aunts house close to the Pyramids in Mexico... awesome memories... come along with Soccer...

I can't say I've ever watched a game of soccor before...
I have zero interest in it
