Boston Mass. Has great sports teams Like the Bruins and Celtics, great universities like Boston College, Northeastern, University of Massatuches, Harvard and has alot of history ie: The Boston Tea party,the Old State House, Quincy Market

I haven't had a chance to travel much to the US, but I have actually been to Portland a long time ago on business. It rained for over a week every day I was there, I couldn't find a decent restaurant anywhere downtown, and the river was muddy. It reminded me of some English towns 
The good thing about it though is it's close to Mt Hood, where I spent a weekend skiing. Great slopes. Supposedly "The Shining" was filmed there, although the lodge didn't look a bit like it to me.

In one of my reincarnations I had a job that took me to Portland for business. It was raining when I got there and was raining when I left 8 days latter. I returned to Portland after 6 sunny days in Southern California. When I arrived back in Portland it was raining and didn't stop for the next 7 days. My colleagues said that it had rained during the 6 days I was away.
There were so many types of rain in Portland, so many you can't catalog them all, there is down pour, shower, misty rain, sprinkles, all hell breaking loose, droplets here and there, fucking raining again, do you ever think it will stop rain etc. I asked an old timer if it ever stopped raining all he said was "Always has?".
I still had a good time.

I loved the 2 years I lived in Boston on Beacon Hill and on Beacon Street in the Back Bay. I walked or rode a bike everywhere in the city as much as I could. It is very much like San Francisco in an east coast kind of way. I left Massachusetts for California where my life bloomed and went into overdrive. I took the memories with me.

Yes, it rains quite a bit here in the Pacific Northwest.
usually just in winter though. I think most people overexagerate it. People say that about Vancouver as well, but I would take a little rain over cold and snow any day. Of course, I'd rather live someplace hot all year round.

I've had adventures all over the US, some of the finest have been in these cities.
Over the years that I lived in Boston or Western Massachusetts we would shoot down to NYC for adventures. One time when I was 18 my girlfriend at the time and I decided we were going to go into the leather business, even though neither one of us knew anything about it. We just thought it would be cool to make leather things and get rich, fucking teenagers. So off we go with a bunch of cash we put together. In the Village we found a guy, no shit this really happened, who had a loft and would sell us skins for a good price. We had no idea what a good price was but bought skins from him anyway. Back in Massachusetts we didn't get rich but had some serious fun for a while.
I love the greater DC area and spend time there every chance I get. I love walking, I'll walk miles and miles and miles and this is a lovely area to walk, unless you go into the wrong section of the city. (all cities have wrong sections, we just choose to ignore them.)
I spent half a night in the Philadelphia city jail for underage drinking until my buddy, whose father was well placed called a judge in the middle of the night and got us out and latter made it all go away. This was my first exposure to what position and wealth can do.

I agree about the walking in DC. I've never seen so many people walking as there. A lot of very fit people because of it. Now the tourists on the other hand.... LOL
The best hot/soft pretzel was in Philly. And the history!!!
NYC I find is a better place to visit if money is no worry.
