Anyone have a favorite podcast?

I am listening to My Favorite Murder right now. Funny and a little gruesome. It's about interesting murders. They crack a lot of jokes.

Also, Marc Maron's WTF podcast rocks. Comedians mostly.

Last one: Slate's Culture Gabfest. A little pretentious, but good, and where I learned about My Favorite Murder.

I was really into the Adventure Zone which was Dungeons and Dragons by people who don't take it too seriously and spend a lot of time goofing around.

Reply All talks about technology and the internet, but is really engaging and accessible.

Welcome to Nightvale was recommended to me by someone on here, and that's been really good (in a weird creepy way).

How Did this Get Made? is one of many 'make fun of B movies' podcasts, but the hosts are usually funny. If I've seen the movie, I'll listen to it.

The Dollop is one I've discovered more recently. They cover weird American history. The guys have the personalities of morning radio hosts and can be kind of annoying, but the stories they cover are usually fascinating.

Don't believe everything that you read.

Not much into podcasts, but I do like Vintage Space on YouTube. I have a bit of a crush on Amy Shira Teitel and her talking about nerdy space stuff is just... well, absolutely wonderful

I take back what I said about My Favorite Murder. It was charming for awhile, but they got tiresome pretty quick.
There are three Harry Potter themed podcasts I really enjoy: MuggleCast, Alohoamora (Open the Dumbledor), and Speak Beasty (for the Fantastic Beasts movies.)

For the non-HP fan, Stuff You Missed in History Class is wonderful, funny, and touches on a wide variety of topics from all over the world.

The New Teacher Podcast is great for teachers both new and veterans. I enjoy listening to their interviews.

I listen to all of these though iTunes.
I like Lore...

I'll use the Wikipedia description:

Lore is an award-winning, critically acclaimed podcast about non-fiction scary stories. Each episode examines historical events that show the dark side of human nature (usually through the lens of folklore) and is presented in a style that's been compared to a campfire experience. The series was created in 2015 by Aaron Mahnke as a marketing experiment[1] and received the iTunes "Best of 2015" Award.[2] The podcast was also given the award for the "Best History Podcast" by the Academy of Podcasters in July 2016.

It's very well produced. Each episode is about 20 minutes long. In essence, each one focuses on the historical bases for creepy myths and legends.

I also listen to Hardcore History by Dan Carlin which examines (in depth) various aspects of history.

These are long though... Great, if you have a long commute to work.

I've enjoyed all of them... my favs have been "Ghosts of the Osfront" which focuses on the Eastern Front in World War 2.

And "Blueprint for Armageddon" about the first world war.

He also has great stuff on Rome and various other topics like the Mongols, Vikings etc...

He presents everything in a very entertaining way that would probably appeal to non-history people.

(He obviously has a very good art director as well...)
I was heavy into Jackson Pearce for awhile.
wtf with Marc Maron is really quite good too.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

H3 podcast, tiger Belly, sometimes Anna Ferris.
There's a podcast called "Guys We Fucked" by these two girl comedians. It's pretty funny.
