I use 3 browsers, IE9, Firefox and Chrome.

Google loads in FF and Chrome in about 2 seconds.

In IE, I timed it, it takes 12 seconds to load. This has only happened in the last week or so.

Is this happening for anyone else?

Could Google be doing it deliberately to make people to switch to their browser? Or might there be something strange on my laptop which may be causing this?

It's rather irritating!

Try installing Malwarebytes anti malware to check for malware, if you've not done already. I've noticed a general slow down on the internet, I think it's governments spying on us or maybe I'm just being paranoid. Of course, it could be Google, I wouldn't put it past them to do something like that.
Can I just say that using anything else apart from IE is an upgrade of IE, as it is very slow and sluggish, the only main advantages to it is that it's good for very large downloads.

So no wonder IE takes so long to load, and if you want more proof of why it's messed up search NDC developer song in youtube, it'll explain why microsoft has such messed up stuff........

SydneySider - I need to see the site the same way that 60% of our surfers do. Sometimes there are odd CSS glitches, which do not appear in Chrome or Firefox, but are due to poor coding of Internet Explorer. So for lush, I use IE, everything else, Firefox or Chrome.

I ran malwarebytes already, and spybot search and destroy. Also scanned my system with McAfee, nothing bad was found. Gav sent me a link to a program that tests the security of your ports, and my laptop was 100% invisible, so it seems very unlikely it's anything wrong with my computer. It's only google too. I set my home page to lush now, and it loads immediately.

EDIT: fixed it. I disabled all the add-ons (Internet Options >> Programs), and it works like it should.
Smart women are so sexy, aren't they?
I like to think so!

I discovered it's linked to my login. If I'm logged out, it loads v quickly. Draw your own conclusions as to what they are up to.
