I thought it funny to receive a email stating quote -

"i enjoy ALL the stories i happen to read....
but i STILL havent come across a BELIEVABLE one yet!!!! try n make them more believable instead of trying to magnify all these really dumb situations and scenarios!!"

This message struck me in particular as funny because all the stories I've published on Lush are completely true.

Do you think sometimes, it may be in the reading and not in the writing that the story is lost and how would you, or could you convey a true tale that requires imagination from some to see the lines as real with out stating that what is written is true?

Or, do we write typical to be believed?

just a thought : )
Torture the data long enough and they will confess to anything.
Although the majority of my stories are not true, I do try to make them seem plausible because I like to imagine that it could really happen.

While I agree that some of the stories here are a little farfetched, so are some people's sex lives. It is not for me to say what could and could not happen in sexual reality, nor to deny anyone their wildest fantasies.

I can only conclude that the person who wrote this e-mail (I will hazard a guess at their being male) has a fairly boring sex life and little imagination.
I got that message too. smile

My guess is that he hasn't read your work. ;)

And if people are writing about far-fetched ideas or scenarios that could seem unbelievable, the best thing in my opinion is to MAKE them believable. Give ideas some groundwork or a base to stand on. Make the reader think to his or herself, hey that's crazy but I can picture it.
