The Darkest Torment by Gena Showalter.

I like my paranormal romances, lol.
I am reading The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood, while eating cake.

Later I will ramp up things up with a clandestine trip to the library, where I will pick up Fathers and Sons and Wide Sargasso Sea, which I ordered in a moment of craziness last week. The librarians may look at me askance, but they don't know who they are dealing with.

In fact, fuck it, I may read all three books concurrently.

Let me know if you would like more updates on my crazy life before someone picks up movie rights. In tomorrow's installment, I flick idly through an account, watch through the window as someone nearly comes to the door (but doesn't), and it rains.

I expect a confluence of synopses of those three books where character and plot mingle till they tingle into a veritable cornucopia of beautifully written nonsense.

As for me?

The dark and macabre. A series by Dan Wells (John Cleaver chronicles or w/e he calls them) where the topic of serial killers and supernatural demons merge. Probably explains why my most recent story is so twisted.
Just thought with the current political climate I would reacquaint myself..

Infinite Jest, a 1996 novel by American writer David Foster Wallace

In the world's harsh wear and tear many a very sincere attachment is slowly obliterated.

Haha aside from my own writing for tedious editing purposes?

Wodehouse (again) Code of the Woosters : )

You know, I am a feminist, I really, really am, but there is something so charming, so endearing, so incredibly classy about the old-fashioned, marriage-obsessed ladies in Wodehouse, even though they are invariably portrayed as terrible nuisances, as manipulative, and as constantly taking advantage of poor, helpless men who happen not to be Jeeves.

I'll just chalk it up to nostalgia and Wodehouse being a freaking beast when it comes to hilarious narration, just so I don't have to start using that ghastly term guilty pleasure ; )

That whole trilogy of books is SO good. I loved that Mr. Mercedes has (almost) no supernatural moments, but the second book has a few, and the third book embraces it.

Stephen King is doing the best writing of his career right now. I'm reading Revival, by him, all about religion. His universe is becoming as Godless as Cormac McCarthy's.
