Follow your dreams even if you don't get there the journey can be fun.
Don't sleep with anybody you can't have breakfast with the next day.

life lesson: Just be true to yourself. You are really the only person that knows about you.
Remember to try to kind to others even if there're not kind to you.
Confidence will take you anywhere but cockiness will hinder you. Find the balance.

Call bullshit every chance you get; it will keep people honest and even if you're wrong its fun to fuck with people.

i would have thought it would be: don't fuck with Sprite. smile

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

The most important life lesson I have learned is that when someone says "We're here to help you!", look at their hands because more often than not there's a knife in the other one.
Never touch your pecker and family jewels after handling jalapenos and habaneros unless you've rinsed those hands like a muthafucka. Because shit will burn like a muthafucka and you'll cry like a lil bitch.

My father only had a sixth grade education, but in many ways, he was a wise man. One of his favorite sayings was, "Ignorance is never a sin until you start waving it like a flag."
Not to rely on so called friends because they're never there when you most need them

How is it possible to have 993 friends? I have trouble keeping up with 30. It sounds like some major cutting back might help. BTW, I do love your profile pictures.

Well I default to your expertise. I just don't like the "free" talk. If taxes pay for it then it is a tax payer provided education. I personally believe in providing an "affordable" education. I think it is benifical for the grad to have skin in the game. I worked my way through college and paid off my student debt. I believe I'm better for it. Plus, I paid for my wife's education. There should be grants and scholarships available for the disadvantage.

I support Bernie over Hillary. He needs to tone down the "free" rhetoric. Our country doesn't need more entitlement programs. It needs private sector jobs and to reduce that obscene trade deficit. [/qu

Bethany we all know you are a smart woman and all these wonderful benefits come with a price. Like maybe 70% tax rate or higher. Would you like that? I know some Progressives think that is the solution to everything. This could be called modified Socialism, which has been tried in a number of places, with modest success. Unless there is a Shinning Star on the Mountain that I am not aware of.

Military power kept the people of the1940's from have to speak German and hopefully our current military power will keep us from having to speak Farsi and face Sharia Courts.
Always begin by being nice, and continue that way, if possible.

1. Real wisdom is in knowing what is not worth it (most things, really)

2. "Opinions are like assholes: Everyone's got one, and mostly they're full of shit." (Myself included)

3. All things change, and nothing ever changes that. Or "This too shall pass."

4. Expectations and attachments are at the root of a lot of suffering. Sometimes suffering is worthwhile.

5. "There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so." (except Kathy Griffin. That chick is objectively and irredeemably awful). 'Evil' is a label that is always applied from outside, rarely from within.

6. Self-acceptance is a wonderful act of subversion against power.

7. You have a right to your own suffering. It's not a competition, nor in limited supply. Neither is compassion for the suffering of others.

8. Run your own race. Don't let others set the pace for you. Type-A go-getters are ruining the world for the rest of us.

9. If you really enjoy something, have the courage and forgiveness to do it badly with a passion.

10. Enough is enough. More than that is greed and gluttony.

11. Don't create a list of ten lessons, or people will think you're being biblical or something.

Don't believe everything that you read.

None of this will matter 300 years from now!
Related to Beth's, above: if you are seriously stressed, ask yourself: will this matter a year from now?

Of course, if the answer is yes, you're fucked, you'll just get more stressed. But usually the answer is no.
Try not to be a complete see you next Tuesday.
Not to pick a fight with bikers
I can have more fun discovering things alone, or teaching myself something new.
Your relationships with people are more important than money. Keep the things you truly value in mind.
