Tom Petty actually quit drinking when I was like fifteen or something. Said he kept waking up in strange places and 'engaging in behavior that really... really wasn't me...' No. Only met him briefly. Offered him a joint. He declined politely. Good catch to you, yes. Met Warren after a concert between his third and second to last albums. He liked to play weird small to medium size venues around the west coast for those years, so I hear this was a common occurrence.

Pretty cool, I like Warren Zevon too. I knew Tom Petty quit doing coke (perhaps all drugs) after he punched a wall and destroyed his hand in the 80's and quit drinking later on. I didn't read your profile so I didn't know your age or I should have picked up an that.

BTW, really love some of your musical favorites. Chrissie Hynde would be another person Id love to hang and talk with

(When Beautiful Freddie's death was announced, (and he WAS) I had the following exchange with a gay BF of mine...

Me: "JESUS! AIDS! I had No Idea he was bent!!!"

My Friend: "Stephen his fucking BAND was called Queen..."

A bit like the US navy not realising that the Village People were gay!

I was chatted up by Sylvester as well!
JP Gaultier was fun but a bit of a cottage queen.
I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Pam Grier aka "Foxy Brown" and the late Mahalia Jackson, Bobby Womack. I met Ms. Jackson on stage as very young child during one of her stirring performances and Mr. Womack and Ms. Grier at my workplace. Those are memories I will cherish forever.

(Explain that, you window-dressing Scouse Poof!)

DPW: "Irish, does the word 'BLACKMAIL' mean anything to you?"

Me: "I take it back..."

DPW: "Hmmmmm..."

Me: "Anyway, I don't think Navies are necessarily experts on gayiety..."

DPW: *LAUGHS!*"

And one was a Native American and there are no gay Native Americans. Its been proven. They were all viral heterosexual men, they just happened to look good in feathers and loved to dance.

Ill give you the Cowboy, the Leather guy and the Cop!

We are FUCKING this thread!

There WAS a real respect for Gay Men, (no idea about Squaws!!!! And YES I know you can't say that!) in Native American culture. Honest. A man (in the Dakota Sioux for example) could CHOOSE to not follow the path of a Warrior. (Some even dressed as women. SOME married Warriors!)

That's a documented REAL thing! The were termed 'Berdache'. (Ber-Dash-Che)

I have met a few famous people in my time, mostly footballers. But the ones i liked best were perhaps not as famous. There was Peter Ustinov at my graduation and a hero of mine Donald Woods, the South African journalist and anti apartheid campaigner whose life was brilliantly portrayed by Kevin Kline in the film Cry Freedom.

Donald Woods exposed the State Murder of activist Steve Biko. (And was forced to leave SA because of it...) Great journalist.

Alex Salmond?

My life has not been filled with stars...

My mum met Bruce Forsyth recently. And two guys from The Young Ones, apparently.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Jamie Lee Curtis, or Arnold Schwarzenegger, you decide.
I met John Starks. It was amazing
Oscar Schmidt, Brazil's greatest basketball player of all time.
I met the British actor Sean Harris in the London Underground xx

All nice enough. Have met a lot of musicians in my day but most I have met are the same as you and me.

Former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, Les Wexner (one of several billionaires with whom my dad is acquainted), and Ann Coulter once called me a bitch at a guest lecture at Denison University about 8 years ago. lol
When I was at Oxford I was ushered into the presence of "someone I should meet', one David Cameron. I knew he was going somewhere because he got me smoking and I don't smoke.

I have heard lots of speeches at Dennison in Granville.
You should be proud that Ms. Coulter called you what she did.
I've been called things I couldn't tell my Mama too.

At least we got a rise out of them.

When my husband was a colonel in the Australian Army, we met the Australian Prime Minister, Bob Hawke, on two occasions; once being seated at his table. The function was held in Sydney.

They are two remarkable people to meet taya. Were they both on set at the same time? I guess if they were, then it must be a TRUE LIE(S).

A New Years party in Sun Valley. smile
In politics...Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe
In music...Leslie West, Lee Sklar, G.E Smith and Patsy Lynn.

Interesting story about Patsy Lynn... Her husband Phillip plays in Patsy's mom's band and they stopped in a bar I happened to be in after a show one night. I had the opportunity to jam on stage with Phillip for a couple of songs. I enjoyed cocktails with Patsy and she is very pleasant and personable.
A few. I was in a certain business off and on over time (noooo not escort~ but it was the entertainment business) so.....

I will say a couple that are well known US music industry famous muscians because they were so very cool to me and super nice, but really, I cannot think of anyone who was not nice like that.

I hurt my toe. A rather HUGE man stepped on me walking by and basically took my toenail OFF ~ Mr. Ted Nugent was concerned and offered to take care of it and take care of me. I refused, but he kept checking on me and staying to talk. He asked me to come hang out with him.

Mister Carlos Santana... on his 42nd birthday, we hung out for a while and just talked and talked smile
