I remember kindergarten, where the teacher had a pet chameleon in the classroom. Because of my parents' work schedule, I arrived before the rest of the class. The teacher warned me to be careful of where I walked for fear of stepping on him. It was fun to try to find him every morning because his color blended in so well.

My earliest memory is from when I was three years old and we lived in Manchester. My brothers and I were having a professional family photo taken and I had to wear an awful dress that my grandma sent over from Australia for me. I hated it and had a battle of wills with my family and the photographer to stay where they put me. They eventually won!
I remember learning to ride my first bike. I was like 4 or 5 years old and fell and my dad picked me up kissed my forehead and had me try again. I also remember when Ashley was born. I was like 9 or 10 and my brother told my mom that she wasn't a boy and put her back, and that he wanted a brother instead. LOL!

Ummmm, first memory is from when i was like 5 or 6 and we were making a commercial for my father's Car Lot and i had to act really supprized and yell "WOW!" whenever they said something about the car. Then i remember a few years later after i had been in another two or three commercials and a girl from school recognized me walking down the hallway...
My Grandfather taking me to one of and still one of my favorite parks to go he taught me to fish there I remember almost the exact spot he taught me to I think I had to be around 5 or 6 when he taught me also learning to ride my first bike and the sense of freedom though I had no clue about that at the time but the sense of pure freedom riding has given me over the years I am still a rider and a fisherman cause of him.
I remember when I was 31/2 years having a baby sister who died. The neighbor from across the street came and took care of three of us while the rest of the family went to her funeral.
I was about 2 1/2 years old when my grandmother moved in with us, and I remember them moving my brothers to the 3rd floor and bringing her big rocking chair into her room where I spent a lot of time on her lap. She was a very special lady and I was lucky to have grown up with her.
We were very poor in my youth.. probably white trash at the time.. when I was 6 years old we lived in Indianapolis, Indiana.. I can remember the only shoes I had were canvas keds which were ripped and had holes.. the laces basically held them together.. I had to walk to school and the snow was still wet and slushy.. the teacher made me sit on her desk while she rubbed my feet.. I can remember all of the other kids laughing and I hated her for that.. it wasn't until years later that I thought of the kindness and love for her to rub a cold poor boys feet.. that's what I remember.. true story...
I have a distinct memory of crossing a small bridge in a stroller. I remember the railings and the star patterns pressed into the metal walkway of the bridge. Years later I told my mother about that memory and she was shocked. I had described the bridge behind th house we lived in until I was about 10 months old. She couldn't believe I still remembered it.
The earliest thing I can truly remember is visiting my mom when she was in the hospital. I would sit on her lap in the hospital bed and watch cartoons on the TV in her room. She died of cancer after I turned 4, so I guess those memories were either right near then or when I was still 3.
I remember quite a lot from when I was very young. Probably, the earliest thing I remember is riding my tricycle on green carpet, down the hallway. I was 2.
I remember when I was about 3 or 4, at playschool, and one of the carer/teacher people had to walk me to the toilet cos it was up a couple of flights of stairs, and I remember thinking to myself 'Why do I need someone to walk with me I can do it myself'

I don't think I can pinpoint my earliest memory because what memories I have that proceeded my fifth birthday are not chronologically filed away, that is I have no way of dating them with any accuracy. I remember lying in the grass on a summer day loving the feel of the sun. I also remember going in an abandoned building and exploring. I remember my mother teaching me to read before I was five and my mother singing to me. Maybe my mother singing to me is my earliest memory, that would make sense.
I remember my first day of first grade. On our playground we had what they call culverts, we use to climb on them, and in them. Well my first day before I even got to go to class, I was playing on one, slid over the other side, hit my chin on a rock, and had to go to the hospital, and get stitches. What a way to spend your first day of school.
I was about 2 years old. My mom'd just had a surgery and I remember clearly I was at the door while my dad and grandma were helping her walk.

earliest memory .... it's about a caterpillar! I think I was about 4ish.
Sitting on the back deck (apparently I have had a thing for sitting on a deck all my life!!) and watching in fascination about how these creatures walk. Wow! I remember him/her/it walking along .... then I picked it up and moved it to a spot. The damn thing continued to move. Walking forward without question ... I picked it up and moved it back. This went on for a bit, until I got pissed off and slammed my open palm down, squishing that determined caterpillar to its death!

I remember hearing my mum burst out into laughter at that moment ... and when I went in to get the gunck removed / washed off ... my mum was having a hard time keeping a straight face. I didn't think it was funny. "Damn furry thing!"
Later in years, my mum said my father & her would snicker everytime they heard something about a caterpillar and remembered the horrors of their own Caterpillar-Hun.
