Writing in a single category is hard and requires talent, time, inspiration and much more things. And doing it all categories much more.

Thank you, Mysteria, for tooting my horn (so to speak)!!

I took it on as a personal challenge to try a story in every category. Some I'm sure I never would have attempted otherwise.

Interestingly, I think the attempt was good for me not just as a writer, but also in general. Trying to come up with stories in certain categories that appealed to me and turned *me* on helped me stretch my mental limits and just generally made me more open. I wound up being quite proud of some of those stories in particular, the ones I might never have written otherwise. I think I am more open-minded as a result.

I'd recommend to anyone to pick a category that might at first seem "unlikely," and give it a whirl.

Now I'm looking forward to following up with many of the characters and ideas and situations that I've cooked up recently and seeing where I can take them.

Thanks so much to all the generous readers who have offered encouragement and praise. It really is great to see that the stories are pleasing to others as well, and not just me. I am beyond grateful.

And thanks again to Mysteria for offering to do my bragging for me. smile

Kudos to you Ocean, that really takes some doing. I've just spent a few minutes looking at the categories and I admit - it's a real stretch (and I think I'm really broadminded).
