Definitely worth posting!

it is truly sad like felix said he is like the only celeb type worth looking up to
He was one of the greatest visionaries in our time! The world will never be the same.
“Your time on this earth is limited, don’t live someone else’s life, live by your vision.” ~Steve Jobs
One of the very few icons worth looking upto.
Had a dream I was king, I woke up still king!!
Interesting how sometimes you never hear of someone until they die. I had never heard of Steve Jobs until about a month ago. To quote Bachylides of Feia,

"What is a man but elements that temporarily have found
Themselves with the ability to wonder at the world around."

- a purely Epicurean perspective.

Very sad, taken much to early.
He certainly did leave his mark on the world.
Steve Jobs was a brilliant creative mind, a driven workaholic, a corporate visionary. Just think, he started from nothing but an idea and a dream and built the most valuable company in the USA. He created amazing products. Apple/Mac is the best!

Steve Jobs will be missed greatly!
A true visionary who changed the world of technology and the consumers expectations. It was his focus and dedication to the consumer that propelled Apple to being the biggest company in the world. R.I.P Mr Jobs you have changed the world forever.

Note - It is said that 7 out of every 10 tablets that are sold in the global marketplace are iPads - pretty damn good market share!

Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected.
Steve Jobs

You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.

Steve Jobs Apple & Mac products have been an important part of my life. He was a true genius! Once you have used a Mac computer you never want to go back to a PC. I know that he left his company in very capable hands and I think they will carry on his tradition of excellence and creativity. But still a once-in-a-lifetime genius like Steve Jobs cannot be replaced.

thank you Doll for posting his commencement speech @ Stanford.
Should be required watching/listening for every college freshman.

"The Gods that smiled when you were born
are laughing now."
He will be remembered as an icon. He will be greatly missed.

thanks DD...
He really was a true visionary, at a time certainly when personal computers were in their infancy...and he will be missed...

And jeez Mandy...that video is funny, and brings back memories...I remember those early Macs and the Apple II's with their little built-in 10 inch B & W monitors...high tech stuff back then...

I love this quote, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle." -Steve Jobs
thought a little humor would be nice, so here it is!

I found this interesting.

He was a complicated man...like many of us are.

The son of a Sunni Muslim immigrant from Syria. The adopted son of a middle class couple in California. The brother of a sister he never knew of until his 27th year on the planet. The father of a child he denied being, whom he abandoned at the same age his own parents were when his mother was forced (by his maternal grandfather) to give him up for adoption, 23 years earlier.

Complicated, indeed.
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.
