I didn't realise that most of The Animals songs were cover versions until quite recently...

Love this one, gives me goosebumps every single time...

As a note of interest here the bass player out of this band Chas Chandler is the man who promoted and funded Jim Hendrix and launched his career. I believe his first live gig after his first hit with Hey Joe was The Black Cat club in South Shields in the North East of England.
They've done the whole album - I seriously doubt that it could ever eclipse (see what I did there??) the original, however, worth a post...

No Doubt was fabulous

...and there is always Pink. Nice thread btw.

I still love this.
The Aluminum Group + The Beach Boys - Caroline, No.

Chromatics + The Boss - I'm On Fire

I think this is a fucking spectacular Fleetwood Mac Cover

Nothing Compares To You - Sinead O'Connor's cover of Prince

"Son of a Preacher Man" originally sung by Dusty Springfield of Blue Eyed Soul fame and covered imo very hotly by Joan Osborne (and many others)..

Tell me, who was it you left me for? Was it Laszlo, or were there others in between? Or - aren't you the kind that tells?

When I first heard this, I thought that it was the original and Oasis had covered it!

The only way to appreciate Oasis in my mind.
