Big Bertha has been prepped and ready to go, filled with fresh(?) water, straight from the tap, then loaded up with Lavazza Crema e Gusto Classico coffee beans.

And we've fot fresh donuts and a couple of ripe melons, just waiting to be plucked…

Flight was delayed and I didn't make it home until today. Still waiting for my suitcase to catch up with me. Going out to dinner with the neighbors. Too effin' hot to cook! 95 F with a feels like temp of 112 F! You know it's hot when your neighbor texts and says, "It's too hot to swim!" 🤣🤣🤣

Did some writing and modding...now it's time to get my guest room ready for my friend's son and his girl. They come to visit every summer for about 5 days and are WONDERFUL guests!

i’m glad you made it home safe traveling sucks I hate doing that but sometimes the trip is worth it. I understand how you feel about the heat. I took my pup to the vet today just to get her nails trimmed, and the weather was brutal.

Worse, some wasps built a nest right over my house and as I was getting in the car, I got stung twice😡

I’m out of wasp spray so I went out and ordered some. That’ll be here tomorrow when it gets here. I’m gonna take care of those little beasties.

They got mad because they got near their house? I’m gonna show them what happens when they build their nest on mine.

I hate wasps, bees, hornets, and cicadas.

My son loves to tell a “Bad Mom” story where I ran over him, knocking him to the ground, to get past him and into the house when a bee was chasing me. 😳

Hey, survival comes first. I was rather undignified in my shock at being so rudely assaulted by an angry hornet and his band of thugs. but I suppose running over the child is bad form.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I actually have a mud dauber nest on the top of my garage but I am not sure it is active, might be from last year or something. And I don't think they are especially dangerous unless you're a caterpillar or whatever it is they feed their larvae.

So far, haven't had any issues with yellow jackets this year. They're around but not being pests like they sometimes are.

mud Dobbers are basically harmless. They don’t defend their nest. They just seal it up and leave them there. They have a habit of staining spiders and putting them in the nest with their larva.

I haven't yet read your latest but its on my que for today.

I, too will be writing today. I've finished the first part of a 2 piece seduction story. But I think this time I'll finish part 2 before posting.

This is one I'd have published as a 7k-word story in the past but I am trying to take some advice and keep it in digestible bites under 3.5. Give or take.

And then one more adventure with Sarah.

I woke this morning and my elbow is swollen from the sting I received yesterday. The one on my shoulder blade is itching and I can't reach the fucking thing.

And apparently I got one on the back of my hand I didn't even notice at the time.

Now I'm just waiting on the postman to go DefCon 1 one those little fuckers.

Now, I need a cup of Joe. And a heavy shot of bourbon in it.

I'm just gonna post this on the message board. My poor little Fluffy got out this morning.

Woohoo! Good Karma for lil Kimmi.

So, I greatly dislike bugs, except for the praying mantis and ladybugs.

A large horned rhino beetle was on the sidewalk. It was flipped on its back with little feet frantically twitching. I walked waaay around it, got to my front door, then turned around. I couldn’t leave the stupid thing like that. Went back and flipped it right side with the toe of my shoe then ran away. From a distance, I watched rhino beetle skitter away to greener pastures.

So help me, if it ends up on my balcony and brought inside by Butters, I will never save a bug again!

A fruity drink with a cute umbrella, please. Been a long day.

My “nephew” and his girlfriend are here for a visit until Sunday and my brother is with us for a month. So the bed n breakfast is in full swing. I went to the beach with our guests for a few hours after lunch. Even under the umbrella it was too hot to take a nice beach nap. 🥵🔥

But I try to play vacation when people come to visit. Tonight will be fun. Dinner out and then game night! Gotta love it when 20 somethings like to hang out with the old folks. Hahaha.

I did some writing in the wee hours this morning before the gym. Will keep chipping away at the couple of stories I’m trying to get finished sooner than later. I may hop on later to mod if time allows. Trying to do my part to keep the queue from spilling over like meatballs rolling off the plate.

And FYI, Kimmi’s toys can bite softly or with a vengeance and everything in between. 😉
