We have a guy who does a tremendous job managing our money. I always tell him he's the reason I could afford to retire early and move to Florida full-time. He always tells me I'm the reason he can afford a lovely house and private school for his kid. LOL. I've known him since my youngest used to dance with his little sister. He's never steered me wrong. He sent me a message yesterday that he was making some moves with my funds. Nice to know he's on top of things.

I've got a to-do list a mile long today, but writing is on the list, so hopefully I get to that eventually.

It's 12 where Kevin is. I'm feeling grateful that I didn't tag along this time. And the projects that I am overseeing here are coming along, so I'm glad I stuck around to help things go smoothly.

I'm ready for some tea...what do you have that will settle my stomach, bearkeep?

I have been wondering about this too. The stock market has been booming this year, and I, too, feel it might go a little wobbly soon... My pension is invested on it. I probably will email my financial advisor and see what he says. I'm getting to that age where it is probably the right time to lock into something more defensive.

I have spent some time today working on a comp. story. Not sure yet about it, or if I will even enter. 🙄😈

Lights on, Lady Dryad has scoured the place out and fumigated Store Room #4, so we’re ready to go.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Yorkshire and Darjeeling teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Grizzly Claw coffee blend from Kicking Horse coffee roasters.

I've put out donuts. Question: Does anyone ever eat any of them? I seem to have a lot of stale donuts leftover each evening.

Plus I've got some Alice B. Toklas Brownies for y'all.

So, what devilment does everyone have planned for the weekend, pray tell?

Happy to have my man home, despite Delta's Network glitch that delayed his flight by 4 hours. We even managed to get a couple of hours down at the beach in the late afternoon. Glad we did because today is quite foggy!

Enjoyed seeing a friend of ours last night at a piano bar. So much fun!

10 more days till we take the kids and grandkids on a Disney cruise. I can't wait!

Good morning all. Thought I’d drop in for some donuts and coffee. I hope you all had a good week.

This time of year always seems distracting to me. And while this year I understand why that doesn’t explain why I seem unable to write or interact here during the silly season. Maybe it’s the weather change.

I do have a few ideas for a story but I’ve not commuted them to the page yet. I’m going to read a few here today in hopes of inspiration.

Today is expected to be a bit warmer than the last few. Maybe I’ll go for a short walk and get some air. But coffee first.

Looking at my Advent story and once again wondering how the hell I'm going to stick the landing in 1500 words. 527 already used and it's all setup. I kind of know where to go but getting some sex into it is going to prove challenging. I might have to shift some posts around, start it later in the story arc.

So, do those polar bear cupcakes have shredded coconut for the "fur" because if so, I'm scarfing at least, two. And a Red Rose to go with them, of course.

I have been on and off Lush all day while trying to watch sport and wrap Christmas presents. The weather here has been a bit like me: not sure what to do! But now the clear nights' chill has taken over. 😨

My Advert competition story has been published, and I have one more story to submit this year. That will make it 48 stories in 2025, one more than last year. For 2026, I plan to write a little less; my priority is to write a story in the 4 genres that are needed to obtain an Ominon badge. These are Trans, Supernatural, Medical and Teen, although I have written over 100 Teen stories, and yet, I put them all in the Novel genre. 😳🤣
