RUMPLATIONS: Awesome Honky Tonk and Cyber Bar

I think all of you are beyond hope – and just about out of credit!

Year-end is coming up, and I need to make the books balance somehow.

When Santa brings you some cash for Christmas, throw a little of it this way. I'd hate to have to explain to Rumps why the till is harvesting moths!

Now, time for some Moan-Day caffeine…

Lights are on (checks for flickers), Lady Dryad has cleaned up and we’re ready to start the show.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Red Rose and English Breakfast teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is ready.

Today we're using Kick Ass coffee blend from Kicking Horse Coffee Roasters.

I've put out donuts.

And the English tarts (as well as the pastries) were so popular, I brought them back – for a special appearance, today only! in Store Room #4.

Good morning, all. I'm trying to check back in a bit. It was a chill 15f/-9.4c here last night.

Coffee for me and if there are any of those donuts left I’ll take a couple.

I opened my sunroom despite the cold and my dogs are out there basking in the sunlight, which is odd because it's in the 50’s out there now.

I'm gonna try to catch up on some stories. Maybe reading them will inspire me to write something.

I've hit pause on the competition story I mentioned in my last post; I can't find the energy after Sunday's tragedy at Bondi. But I will try and read a few more stories later in the week. I submitted a weird Christmas story to SS. An even weirder creepy ass Christmas story is in my head and I may write it up, too. I deleted my comp entry here after publishing. Just not feeling like being in a comp right now. There are some super duper entries though!

my heart goes out to everyone out there. thankfully you guys aren't insane like we are and it wasn't worse. that said, it's still awful and it breaks my heart. my love to everyone affected. 💔❤️

It was a horrible event with a small silver lining – that Ahmed Al Ahmed, who rushed in to take down one of the shooters, is Muslim, not Jewish, but rushed in to save other people's lives, feeling that it was his job as a member of the community to help.

Even in the face of evil, goodness persists.

Irish breakfast and a slice of Yule log. White is the predominant colour here right now but at least we aren't getting more. That flooding looks brutal. Vibes.

My comp entry is into the "nitpick it to death" stage of writing which comes right before the "f it and hit Submit on whatever I have" stage. So maybe today or tomorrow.
