Merry Christmas – still! Christmas is a season, not a day, recall, so while Santa might be recovering, we're still in party mode!

Christmas lights are on, Lady Dryad has cleared up most of the wreckage, and is fast asleep in Kimmi's Korner.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Yorkshire and Earl Grey teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with some multi-coloured mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Peet's Holiday Blend Coffee. I mean, you think someone who could roast coffee could at least learn how to spell their own name, right?

I've put out Christmas donuts.

I'm gonna grab a Bear-sized mug o' Yorkshire tea and mosey back to keep Lady Dryad company.

Who knows? Maybe she'll find my Morning Wood of interest!

Good morning! Yorkshire Tea and a random doughnut. Kids are headed back to Ottawa today and I return to work on Monday. But it will be a quiet week at the office and there's New Year's mid-week.

My New Year's resolution is to get off my butt and write more. I think. I don't really believe in the resolution thing. Getting good response to both my December stories so that's encouraging. That said, I am unsure how much of that writing will be for here. I have two projects on the go that are SS material. And one, frankly, is headed for novella territory so maybe just go straight to self-publishing or even find a market for it.

Digging around the tea kettle, looking for some white tea. Nothing. Green tea? Nada. Ugh, Bear… Your killing me. Fine, I guess it’s a Swiss Miss Saturday afternoon.

I went down a rabbit hole over the past day and a half. I’ve been staring at the second story that I ever wrote for a few weeks now. It was something I wrote over a year ago, shortly after writing the original draft of Open Secrets. Like Open Secrets, it was LONG, coming in at over 30,000 words. Well, 10+ hours later and I have something that feels brand new. Not only is it now a mere 8500 words, it feels like what I had envisioned when first wrote it. I am exhausted. But it feels good. Really fucking good.

Now I just need to wait for January 3. I have one other story that is also ready to go. I will probably submit the other story first, since that one is shorter and a little more mod-friendly. It sounds like some mods are apprehensive to dive into longer stories, so I want to give them some time with this one.

And Cogs, yes we have both white and green teas in the box. But as Ape said, it sometimes gets misplaced, sometimes when I refill it – then get distracted.

Actually, Seeker4, you are not far out. The football team originated in the 19th century at a huge ordnance factory in Woolwich, on the south side of the River Thames, near Greenwich. Just Google the Royal Arsenal. There is a lot of history. My father also did his engineering apprenticeship there. 😊

I think that logo is from Denby, a British stoneware manufacturer. No expert but the age and condition would be a factor in value. Unless its very old probably worth a few hundred dollars max, probably less. The company is still in business.

Spent the weekend building shelves in the new garages (Ours and two of our neighbors). The garage doors won't be installed until mid-January, but we will be ready to move our stuff from the pods in the parking lot onto our wonderful new shelves as soon as they are! So excited! It's been a long year...but normal is right around the corner.
