I’m loving being off work. Feelin’ creative. Stress-free. Working on what will be my 300th story here. I want it to be different in a good way. I’m trying to write what I see as the ending to an old (published in 1882? I think) short story called “The Lady, or the Tiger?” where the author chose to leave the ending a cliffhanger. Gonna put out a micro first as #299 if I can get it right. Some of those short fuckers are harder to handle than the long ones.

We are getting a lot of US food places jumping the border right now but I don't think either they or IHOP have. Or if they have, they haven't reached here yet. I am kind of intrigued. Should try them when I am down there but we usually book a hotel with breakfast included when traveling so don't usually go out for breakfast. My family ate at International House of Pancakes when we visited Florida in the seventies before they acronymized the name but I imagine they've changed a lot. If you haven’t read my latest story - The Blow Bang - please check it out. It’s not going to win any awards, but I am happy with the way that I navigated sex scenes with 10/8 people, respectively. You should see the stack of diagrams I went through showing me who was where/when during the writing process. 😂

I have my next story - Project Eros - sitting in my drafts and ready to go. I REALLY want it hit “submit”. Because my previous story went live yesterday, I am trying to be patient and wait a few days.

I am excited, because Project Eros is what I consider to be my first real story (in other words, the sex is secondary to the larger story), it is my first story told from a female perspective, and it is a departure from the genres I usually gravitate towards.

I am in the reverse boat. I really need to focus on some AI certifications I’ve been pursuing and maybe dive deeper Peyton. But I keep coming up with new story ideas and I feel like I need to put words on paper. Sigh.

Good luck. I have some of my team going for AI development training later this month for a major project we've kicked off. I'm just project manager, not doing any dev work myself, so I am not taking it. Leaving it to the pros, so to speak. 😋

I went through that with our family cat back in the day. Once I hit university, I started working in the summer so didn't go the cottage with the family. They took the dog with them and left me the cat. And, yeah, she kind of became my fuzzy alarm clock if I forgot to close the basement door (which is what we usually did to keep her downstairs at night). I was a morning person even back then but, yeah, she was even more of a morning cat.

My dog is up at 6am every day! She will lay there, patiently waiting, until 8am on weekends. But then the “I am bored” whimpering starts. She doesn’t necessarily need to go outside, she’s not a breakfast/food motivated dog. She just gets bored being locked in a room with her people.

My wife got up earlier than me this morning and took care of her, so I was free to be lazy. It was wonderful!

Small world. I spent a good chunk of my career in the PM space. Now I straddle that and digital product management.

Before I became a project manager, I was developer (20-30 years ago). I will always be a bit of a tech nerd and am fascinated by emerging technologies. My company doesn’t pay for any “technical” AI training, so I just do on my own.

I manage the IT department for a small-ish corporation involved in home health care. Was their first IT person (before me, they were supported by our parent company) and built the department from one (me) to eight, 4 doing support and infrastructure, 3 doing development and customization of corporate systems, and then me. So project management is but one corner of my work, though it's going to become a big corner of it for the next couple years. After which I will probably retire.

How odd, I'm also a PM often with IT crossover but I'm taking a hiatus after my last few projects. The hours were nuts and I got sick of arguing with people all day. Not sure what I'm going to do next. Toss up between male model and rodeo clown.

So I'm at the pharmacy earlier and the pharma assistant was a really pretty young woman so I complimented her, on her nails which were also very pretty. (And yes it was absolutely pre-meditated flirting lol) Of course she liked that and we chatted a bit before I ran off to do a few errands while the pharma filled my order. At pick up I dealt with someone else but as I left she popped up from behind the counter and gave me the BEST fucking smile I have ever seen. Made my day. Have a feeling my next story may feature a pharmacy.

Also working on a Wife Lovers that's at 8700 words and only has about 500 words of sex so far. Seems to be a bad habit of mine....and who knows, it just might be a true story encompassing an affair that lasted nearly 4 years.

Reading about our furry family members thanks to Butters not allowing to sleep in, our main "demon" Casper can't stand having the house sleep past 4am. Which is completely different than Rascal or Bella. For being 8 going on (acting like 8 months) 9 one would think he be sleeping somewhere but No!! He's up and his ploy is a soft paw to the face and he escalates to biting if one covers your face.

I've always figured they are all happy country cats.

Weekly cleaning is done so I am enjoying a tea. No football around my world. Never been a fan even growing up with it on the TV constantly due to Dad and other family members watching both CFL and NFL.
