I’ve published 8 stories (well, four “real” stories, one of which was spread across five chapters). And I’ve had almost 25,000 reads. I know that doesn’t sound like much. But I am feeling very humbled right now. 😊

Congratulations, paddlingincognito. 😊 I believe having followers is fantastic and certainly helps get more reads/likes, etc. To do that in 67 days is excellent. BTW: I have just started following you and will read a few of your stories.

For me, it took about 2 years, but things can change quickly. I wrote a short I/F series and picked up 268 followers in a month... So, I went from something like 30 to around 300 followers in one month based on those 4 stories. I always wondered if that was a monthly Lush follower record. 😳

That’s crazy! It seems like are certain categories - I/F stories being one of them - that get a lot of reads, which I assume translates to followers.

Yeah, my most read story is my lone contribution to that category. No shock there. As a longtimer, I know the popularity of that category. Not sure if I picked up many followers that way, though. I have 192 follows per my profile but I don't watch my profile that closely so wouldn't have noticed if I picked up a lot when that story came out.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Kick Ass coffee blend to help kick things off…

Plus I've got some buttercream cuppycakes to tempt Kat – with Coke Zero to nullify the calories!

Well, Hello there Friends. It's been a while since my last visit. (Back in September 2023, if I remember correctly) I thought I'd drop in to see how everyone's doing. Happy New Year, Everyone.

I see a few new faces in the bar. Welcome to you. I'm sure you are not so new here, but certainly new to this here Angel.

Hello to all my old friends.

Speaking of old friends - Has anyone seen or heard from Denim_Daisy10 - Sara. It was her birthday yesterday & I was wanting to wish her a Happy Birthday. But I've noticed she hasn't logged in for a long while.

I see Terrance is still in the nut-warmer. I'll just leave him be. He gives my wings the shivers. Coma & Tose are still out by the hot tub. I wonder if anyone has sat with them & mused over their musings.

Oh, how is Rump these days? I haven't seen him in an age either.

So much has happened since my last visit here. I've moved house - twice. So my rent didn't go up by $100 per month, as it was suppose to if I stayed in the old rental. It only increased by $20 per month. Then I moved the second time, into a brand new home & my rent increased a further $20 per month. So much more affordable. I love my current home. It's in a brand new suburb with more houses being built each day. I also found a job. I liked it. Loved my co-workers. But had to leave after 10 months, due to experiencing panic attacks as I walked into the building. I've been in my current position since March last year & I am absolutely loving it. I even started travelling for my job in November. That will continue again this year.

For me, I haven't written anything the last few months. It's been a bit busy with work. I have a couple stories, a few micro's & many more co-authored stories/micros. My figures are all over the place. If I just count the stories/micro's that I wrote myself then I've managed a mere 35,800 views in over 4 years. So your nearly 25,000 in less than 3 months is a wonderful achievement. My Followers number has been up & down lately; moving between 420 & 430.

I've managed to read all of the Advent Story Comp Entries. A great bunch of stories. I feel for the judges this time round. Good Luck to all who entered a story. Well done to you all.

I don't think we chatted before, though I first stumbled on this site in 2010 and officially joined nearly 10 years ago, but I only really started being active here 3 1/4 years ago when I changed my username and started writing. I've been dropping into Rumplations for around a year. BTW: my profile is 100% accurate.

Good call on the coffee, Bear! Kick Ass started in Hawaii. Unfortunately, they closed most of their stores on Maui around COVID. The last store is a mile walk from where my wife and I vacation. And we are heading there for our annual pilgrimage in 12 days. Can’t wait!!!

Some have been released as they were originally written (Open Secrets and the pending Eros Project). Others were repurposed (Coffee, Bang). More stories, more clicks, more 🔥.

Funny, I was going to take the month off from writing. I will be Hawaii heats two weeks in January and I have a feeling that work is going to be insane this week and next week.

Congrats! That's pretty impressive given your short time here. I don't think I even have 50 followers after 10 years. lol Maybe I should write more.

Apparently heeding my own advice I'm at 11,000 words plus on my Wife Lovers love story and that's mostly to just string the timeline together and set the stage for the actual dirty bits. And build the characters. Still no sex except a few scorching kisses. This may end up on SS.

Welcome back Angel! It's been a while, but I'm so glad you're doing well! Pull up a stool and tell us every sordid/happy detail of your life!

Da Boss (that's Rumps) is still around, but he's in semi-retirement. He asked Terrance to take over, and appointed me Second Assistant Bear-Keep. Terrance leaves the day to day stuff to me while he makes the important decision, like which nuts (and whose) should go in the nut warmer. Rumps drops in every once in a while to check the books (the real ones, not the ones we show the revenooers), but otherwise, just uses the facilities.

As for Sara, as a couple of others have said, she just vanished. It was shortly after she got married, and I have kind of wondered whether either hubby didn't approve, or that she was so busy keeping him (and herself) happy, that she couldn't afford to spend time with us reprobates.

Would you like a to-go box with treats? On the house, just cause we're happy to have you back!
