I'll be eating my breakfast of sunny side up eggs and bacon in Kimmi Korner with sweet Jane.

Snow is falling here but not very intense yet. We are kind of on the Northern edge of the system, so only 10-15cm (4-6in) is expected here. Take care and stay safe those of you taking a direct hit. Some Irish Breakfast tea would go good with a cupcake, I think.

🤣 Fond memories of Breaking the Law - I used to ride to school with a guy who's fav album was British Steel. He would crank it full blast and we would get wasted on the way to school every morning. The best part was we used to pick up 2 regular hitchhikers who were also holding. Shockingly I eventually quit school.

I'd like a coffee please.

Wasn't much into metal yet back then but I remember seeing Priest videos on the local music TV station's "Power Hour". And I have been listening to the band occasionally nowadays. Our weather here is settling down time to dig out the snow storm we were lucky with only 9" of snow and it's powdery so easier to move. Now just fighting the bitter cold.

Toronto got a record-breaking amount of snow yesterday – about 50 cm = 20". Plus they've had a record-breaking January for snowfall.

And it's cold.

We got snow here, but only about 8" – enough to frolic in, and close the schools, but not paralyzing.

And I understand Kat's expecting some harsh weather as well – temperatures down into the 30sF!

Those poor, poor people!

Anyway – let's get things rolling…

Lights on, Lady Dryad has cleaned up and we’re ready to roll.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Yorkshire and English Breakfast teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Kick Ass Coffee blend from Kicking Horse Coffee Roasters.

There are donuts.

Plus I've got some coffee flavoured buttercream cuppycakes to help Kat with her modding chores – plus Coke Zero, of course.

The weekend was nice, but the cold weather is creeping back in for the next two weeks. It sadly means no swimming for my brother, but it is better than him being up north in the frozen tundra.

Thanks for the cuppycakes and Coke Zero. Though I'm not big into coffee flavour, I won't turn down a nice gesture.

We are going fridge shopping after lunch. Need to find a good dented or scratched one for my garage. I can't believe we will finally be able to do bulk shopping again at Costco. The last time we did that was 5 days before Hurricane Helene (and lost all of that food). Normal never felt so good! 😎

Hi all. I have just popped in to say take care. We're getting a lot of news coverage about the extreme weather in the USA/Canada. Here in southern England, it is going to be wet and windy soon with a storm blowing in, but nothing as extreme as you are having over there! 😨

I saw that. Wow. We got the forecast 10-15cm. I saw 17 quoted for London but I shoveled and I am not sure it was that deep. But 50 is 😲🥶. Last time we had a storm like that was 2010 just before Christmas.

Don't tell Bear, but here are a couple of little Rumpee's tips. Don't worry too much about Terrance; he's adorable and, importantly, ticklish. Just look past his 8 hairy legs, his multiple eyes, and his two fangs, and rub his underbelly. He will soon curl up, chuckling.

As for Miss Pixel. She is sharp and will catch you. But she is also a mouser. So bring a table tennis ball and bounce it in front of her. She will chase it for the rest of the night.

Pappy was Jim Beam’s vice president of sales during USA prohibition. He kept the distillery going by selling to priests and monks of the Catholic Church who needed to buy alcohol in order to have wine to say Mass..

They don't make ‘em like Sears’ Kenmore anymore.

But we found a used Whirlpool full sized side-by-side for $399 at the used appliciance store. Perfect for our garage, and our pockets. 😎

I was never ever once offered a free drink. I fact, I think you charge me extra.

I have a genuine question for the fellow (non-British) patrons of Rumplations. In my latest story (link below), I use the term 'the three R's. For us Brits of a certain age, it was a well-known educational term that stands for (R)eading, w(R)iting and a(R)ithmatic. 🙄

I am now wondering if this common British educational phrase was ever used outside the UK?

Oh... In my story, the three R's stand for something very different! 😈
