I’m mostly unplugged rest of February, but popping in to plug writing challenge on SS. Runs thru St Patty's Day…

This will be fun, thanx for the heads up Kimmi!

Hope everyone is well or at least making progress on whatever ails you; seems a bunch of us have stuff going on. I've been reading so much medical info I figure I'm at least as qualified as the average resident. I do have a set of scrubs. I'm gonna wear them to the hospital next time I go in. lol

I promise I would never do such a thing but I just realized all I need is a stethoscope and I can start examining patients. I may work that into a story.

Well, Dr. Lyfbuz, it all started a couple of years ago when a snotty family decided to take up permanent residence in my right sinus…

Good morning all y’all. Today I tuck away my chronic issues to take my brother to Animal Kingdom. Should be fun. Just going for the day. It’s supposed to be decent weather finally.

The appointment with the rhinoceros went well yesterday. She is testing me for immunodeficiencies. I discovered there are 550 such deficiencies in existence. Who wants to place bets I have more than one?

She did also give me an antibiotic ointment to mix in with my saline sinus rinse. Something new I haven’t tried yet. It’s a two month regimen. I liked this doc very much. She’s sharp. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 she can help me solve the mystery of the superbug that three docs have now said “mimics MRSA”. My mood is better than it has been in some time. I feel like I have a doctor who isn’t just try to cure the problem but figure out what caused it and how to stop it. I’m hopeful.

Splurging on breakfast at Einstein Brothers Bagels. 🥯

My mediation group asked me yesterday if I could name ONE good thing that has come out of my health journey. I learned I can live without ice cream. (I gave up most dairy products). Thank goodness Candy Kitchen has lemon Italian ice. 😎

Okay, my friends. TGIF. Only 2 more weeks till my baby girl comes home for her birthday weekend. 😎🥳

Have a great day at Animal Kingdom, Kat. We went there about a year after it opened. I particularly remember the safari experience, and I guess it is even better now than it was back then. 😊 Good news that you like your new doctor; the fact that you like her. I keep my fingers and everything else crossed for you that they find out what it is and, importantly, a cure.

Dull, dank weather here atm. So, a pot of Yorkshire tea, please. Thank you. We had planned to go out and do something, maybe a walk down the beach, but we put that off to tomorrow, as we have been promised some sun then.

Happiness everywhere this fine morning here in Rumps it seems to be

contagious thanks from Kimmi, Kat and Doktor Lyfbuz. I too have my own two great docs I've been blessed with.

Shall U get beautiful Bertha filled and Copper Tea Kettle?

I've brought fresh Boston Cremes & Raspberry filled doughnuts for pre Valentines

A few morning tunes too

Hey Rumps! Sorry for the short absence. Life/work has been crazy since I returned from Maui. But I have a long weekend ahead of me to rest and reset.

Hiya, Rumpies wave

I’m taking a bit of time away. Trying to gather strength with more bad stuff with Dad. And my twin and I are taking a short trip together to celebrate our birthday last week of month. Her wonderful hubby will stay to handle Dad issues.

Hope you and your sister are having an amazing trip, Kimmy!

That is great, Kat! I’ve been working through some chronic health issues over the past five years. And when you find some who isn’t trying to throw duct tape on the symptoms, but wants to help you find the root cause and address the underlying issue - life changing! I am so happy you found one of those doctors!

With that, I am grabbing a cup of coffee with a splash of cream and I am off to the Volvo dealership. Have a great Friday, everyone!

Wow. This has to be the quietest bar on the planet.

Well, maybe the smell of coffee will bring in some life. I have washed up old Bertha and refilled her with some dark roast Nicaraguan coffee. For teas, there's Yorkshire Gold and Russian Caravan. Kettle is filled for hot chocolate and other fine teas. And it's a bar, so our usual selection of booze is available. So whatcha drinkin'.

I just got a news alert that Canada's mogul master Mikael Kingsbury landed the gold in men's dual moguls. That's his fifth career Olympic medal and second one of this games after a silver in a tight finish in individual. It is also the first gold for Canada in these games.

Thank you for opening up Rumplations, Ape. I have a mug of Yorkshire Tea, please. Thank you. 😊

I have not watched too much of the Winter Olympics, although I did see Britain win its first gold medal yesterday. Matt Weston on the rather scary skeleton luge read, 'tea tray'. Yesterday, I cut the lawn for the first time in 2026. Today, we are back to rain!

Luge scares the eff out of me. I mean, it is arguably less scary than some of the tricks in freestyle skiing but there is a sense of control that skiers seem to have that's lacking in luge or skeleton. They just seem to be blasting through those tracks with little or no control. Even bobsled has at least some sense of being in control.

I visited Lake Placid, site of the 1984 Winter Olympics, in 2017 or thereabouts. The sled track is still there and used for training so I actually got to see some runs live.

Is that coffee I smell? Thanks, for opening up, Ape!

I hope everyone had a pleasant Valentine’s Day.

Oddly, I’ve been pretty oblivious to the Olympics this year. I’ve been watching some of the highlights online, but have not actually sat down and watched anything yet.

Cutting your lawn? In February?

We’ve been in the 50’s for the past two days. Looks like two more days in the 50’s, followed by a few days in the mid-40’s with some rain. Whatever snow/ice we have on the ground will likely be gone by mid-week, which is unheard of for mid-February. Granted, there is a chance of several inches snow next weekend. So weird.

He is a Brit. They have weird weather over there. 😁 We are hitting a warm spell (6C/42F by mid-week) but with the amount of snow we have on the ground, I will be be happy if I see grass. But we are getting some rain, too, so probably will get there by next weekend.

We’ve been lucky this year. Most of the snow has gone north or south of us. I think we’ve gotten maybe 18-20 inches, which is significantly less than most years. And with the warmer weather in December, a lot of that melted. We’ve got bare grass in half of our yard right now.

Just looked at my weather app. What was looking like 3 inches of snow next weekend now looks closer to 8-10 inches. Fingers crossed they are wrong. I was really hoping for an early spring!

Unlikely that our warm spell has anything to do with early Spring. Mid-Winter thaws are kind of a thing around here. Then we'll get smacked again when it ends. I'm now seeing -1C forecast for next Saturday so I kind of know when this thaw ends.
