Good morning, campers! It's June, school is finally out here in Ontario (as of Thursday), and summer can officially begin on all cylinders!
And, right on cue, we're supposed to get a heat dome on the eastern half of the continent. And yes, that includes Canada.
I remember some friends from around New York City came to visit us during a heat wave. When they got here, she moaned, "Oh, and I was so looking forward to getting some of that cool Canadian air!"
I just smirked at her and said, "What? You think we keep it in here with a white pickett fence?"
Anyway, it's market day, and my other granddaughter is visiting, so I shan't tary, shan't I.
Lights is filtering through the windows – and gosh, I should ask Lady Dryad to see if she can at least scrape the worst of it off!
Tea Kettle is refilled and steamin' away. There are pots of Yorkshire and Lapsong Souchow teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.
Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is ready to serve.
Today we're using Happy Camper coffee – naturally.
I've put out some strawberry goodies our suppliers left.
And I'm whipping up ham and cheese omlettes for the first 15 customers, so – belly up to the bar boys, girls, and those who know better
And take care out there, 'K?
