Lights on, Lady Dryad has cleaned up and we’re ready to go.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Yorkshire and Darjeeling teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Maxwell House Medium Roast – in case we need to roast a medium!

I've put out donuts. Look good!

Plus I've got some Boston Creams for y'all.

This morning I sent my competition story to the moderators. Yes, I know I wasn't going to enter, but I felt like writing something a little different, and I admit it... I like badges! 😈

I will be taking a 2-week break from writing and LushStories starting Tuesday. I'm still hobbling with sciatica, but as my wife agreed to put the tent up on her own 😳, so we're off camping for a week. Then it's my youngest daughter's wedding, I have two this year. I got to walk her up the aisle; I guess I will be limping. 🙄🤣

I might try to see it at some point. I have a special connection to Odysseus that I can't really talk about here. I'm really more a fan of the Iliad, though. Fewer (okay, no) monsters, more personal drama.

Well, my review is I liked the parts I watched. Not sure about all the parts that had me covering my eyes. And the music was a lot of heavy drums beating that was so loud I felt like they were inside my chest.

Well my wife and I have been to Hell in the Cayman Islands and it’s nothing like the temps we have been experiencing while out camping. Can I have a quart of Ice Cold Sweetened Sun Tea please??? I need to stay hydrated as much as possible.

We were back to normal on SW Ontario today but that could just mean it's staying West of us or something, I.e. where they are. That has been probably the nastiest I have ever seen the air around here and I grew up and have always lived in this area.

Usually, I use every single word allowed. But this time I've only reached about 3500 words. Which has me wondering if I need to add something more. Now I'll teeter on the fence and overthink it for a bit longer.

Ah, my favourite Joan Jett song that turned out to be a cover (the original was Tommy James and the Shondelles). Great tune either way.
